Prophetic interpretation of Flag/Banner Worship ministry as given to Arletia Mayfied, The Prophetic Scribe.

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD [is] good; for his mercy [endureth] for ever: [and] of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD. Jeremiah 33:11

In certain seasons, God has called me to praise him in dance, but in this season He also ministered to me about banners, ensigns, flags and lifting a standard before his people. This is what I learned in the process of studying what God was speaking to me about so I could understand and obey exactly what God is commanding me to do.
Definitions – Strong’s Concordance
Standard (5127) - To flee, to escape, to put to flight, to depart, disappear, hide
Standard (5251) – Something lifted up, rallying point, signal pole, ensign
Standard (1714) – Banner (military reference)
Raising the Standard (Banner) is part of the preparation for war together with strengthening the guard and posting the watchman.
Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon. Jeremiah 51:12
Ensign (226) – A distinguishing mark, remembrance, miraculous sign, warning, miracle, proof, token, omen
Flag (260) – Reeds, marsh plants Rushes

THE POLE:
As the Lord began to give me instructions for the praise that He desires from me, Holy Spirit supplied a reed for my banner pole rather than a smooth stick (fashioned or manufactured by man):
A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. Isaiah 42:3
And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. Revelation 11:1
And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. Numbers 21:8
For God says, I am Jehovah Jireh, the Lord that will provide a sacrifice. I am Jehovah Nissi, The Lord your Banner. I am Jehovah Tsidkenu, The Lord your Righteousness. I am Jehovah Raah, the Lord your Shepherd. I am Jehovah Rapha, the Lord your Healer.

THE FABRIC:
The fabric that God provided for my banners was from the lining of an old wedding dress. It was blemish-free and already cut into the shape that He wanted – like wings, but God said, NOT angel wings as some are called called, but EAGLE’S wings.
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Revelation 12:14
For God says, I am Jehovah Shalom, the Lord your Peace. I am Jehovah Shammah, your Lord who is ever-present.

THE COLOR
The color of my banner is white representing holiness and the purity of God; also, the unblemished purity of the Bride.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 1 John 3:3
For God says, I am Jehovah Elohim, The Lord your God, your Redeemer and Creator.

THE PURPOSE
To reveal God in all his majesty, wonder and glory through prophetic praise and worship that declares that there is none like our God.
For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? Psalm 89:6
For God says, I am Yahweh, your Lord. I AM THAT I AM.

The Treasure Doesn't Hunt - Introduction

This series is for unmarried women. The stories are about women in the Bible that were blessed with the perfect man for them.

Woman, you are a precious treasure to God. He wants you to be his bride and he desires to be your bridegroom. The Bible says, "If you delight yourself in the Lord, he will give you the desire

of your heart." It also says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you."

There is nothing more attractive than a woman that is devoted to God. Even the devil wants her, but his motives are to kill, steal and destroy what is beautiful to God. It is the devil who probably seeks after her the hardest. He tempts her with lust, he questions her faith so she will doubt and he provokes her to anger so she will be rebellious. Those of you that attend church have heard the sermons about how satan works and those of you that read the Bible are not ignorant of his devices (methods/strategies), but still you fall for his tricks again and again and again.

Thank God that He is merciful. Years ago you would have been stoned for the behavior that has become so acceptable (in Western and European cultures) today. Thank God for his son, Jesus Christ who loved the prostitute and the adulteress and His love alone transformed the wanton women into brides of Christ because they believed and they followed.

In this series, The Treasure Doesn't Hunt, we will show you the great compassion of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ so you can be forgiven and walk in freedom from the guilt of your past. Even if you bear the scars of your sin, STD's, abortions, the destruction of families due to your actions and participation, God is willing and able to heal your physical and emotional scars if yo will allow him to have his perfect work in your life. Some wounds may remain as a areminder of where you have been, but you will be able to show them as a testimony of your survival and God's mercy and grace.

These Bible stories are arranged to take you from sin to a place of healing and finally deliver you to a place of hope. The stories are told from a present day perspective and demonstrate how the word of God is not only current and relevant today, but how they are eternal leading us home to our final resting place with God in heaven. The alternative is also presented. God gives us freedom to choose him or the Lord of this world known by many names but he is the evil one who fell from heaven in pride, rebellion and disobedience. He is disgraced and angry with a God complex and envy toward the people of God. He is the same one that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden and he has more experience deceiving us than we have resisting him. His deception caused death and separation from the God that created us and it wasn't until Jesus came that we had the opportunity to be reconciled with our heavenly Father, creator of heaven and earth once again. Now, that he has paid the price for our sin, we still have the choice to choose life with God forever in heaven or death with satan and his demons forever in hell. We cannot believe in a heaven with no hell. Everything has an opposite. It is a law of nature put in place by our creator, and He is just. He will not violate His own laws.

This series makes the case for choosing eternal life through Jesus Christ by redirecting the feelings of love and passion from the natural man to Jesus. The truth is women are looking for true love that makes them feel accepted, appreciated, worthy, respected, honored and desired. God loved you so much that he sent his only son to die on the cross to be the blood sacrifice required to atone for your sin. Then to seal it forever, Jesus rose to sit at the right hand of the Father, conquering death and the grave forever so you could have eternal life in heaven with God. He even sent the Comforter to live inside you to keep you holy, direct your path and guide you into all truth. This is the path that leads to your husband and all the peace, love and joy that you desire. It is through Jesus.

If you haven't had success hunting for a man, using manipulation, your body and other tricks to land a husband, try Jesus. In your search for a man to fulfill you like Jesus, you may discover that he is the only one who can reach all those hard to reach spots deep within your broken heart. If you desire a whole man, then you need to be a whole and wholesome woman. Let God heal your wounds and prepare you for a very special man that he has selected for you. It is God's desire that man should not be alone, so let Jesus lead the man to you because not all men professing to be Christians are obedient to his words, so test the spirits to be sure they are from God. The Bible says, "You will know them by their fruit." So wait, watch and pray. Remember, that even satan appears as an angel of light and he knows every word of the Bible.

I pray that The Treasure Doesn't Hunt brings deliverance and hope to women that desire husbands that will love them like Christ loves the church. It is my sincere desire that your eyes are opened and your legs are closed as you learn to rely on Jesus as your husband until he sends your mate.

Share the Burden of the Church - Be a Wise Leader

The Burden of Leadership
Moses was a humble man that did not despise wise counsel. In the book of Exodus Chapter 18, Moses listens and obeys the wise counsel of his father in law, Jethro (Priest of Midian). After the children of Israel had been led out of Egypt by Moses, Jethro brought Moses' wife and sons to him in the wilderness. The children of Israel were wearing Moses down with their complaining and issues. Jethro saw that Moses' burden of being the leader of all these people and dealing with their issues from sun up to sun down every day was too much for one man to bear. So, he counseled Moses. He told Moses to take the people's issues to God, but also to teach them the laws and show them the way they must walk and the work that they must do. In addition, he advised Moses to select leaders that were men of truth that hate covetousness and place them over the people. This established the first system of government for the Israelites. Having wise leaders in place to share the responsibility of governing the people would ease Moses' burden of leadership. So, the leaders judged small matters, more difficult issues were taken to Moses and Moses communed with God

The need for government in the church
If you have direct access to your Pastor, consider his/her burdens. They have responsibilities to their family, sometimes a job(s) outside of the church, the church, the churches activities and all its members to consider. If you belong to a large church, then you know that you may have to go through a minister or make an appointment before you can talk to your Pastor directly. The reason for this is order. A system of order is not designed to keep you away from your Pastor, it is designed to better serve your needs. Without a system of order (government), the leader will eventually grow weary under the burden of carrying the entire load of all the people all the time.

Sacrifice
Sacrifice comes with the call of the Pastor, but it is also the call of every Christian in the church. We are ALL supposed to sacrifice for the cause of Christ, but sadly, some of us do not want to grow up and take responsibility. We want to continue to be coddled and catered to in our weakness more than we want to grow strong. I beseech you, brethren to try to grow to be leaders that help and support your Pastor instead of complaining children. Everyone has talents and skills to offer the kingdom of God. Whatever you have, offer it.

Humble yourself, pray and seek the face of God to grow strong in the Lord
Remember that you have something the children of Israel did not have - the ability to go boldly before the throne of grace and have a personal relationship with God. You do not have to go through a person to speak to or hear from God. Jesus Christ is your intercessor and the Holy Spirit is your guide. PRAY! If the members of the body strengthened themselves through the word of God and prayer, we could strengthen and encourage other believers in the church, being helpers to the Pastor and the body of Christ in general.

How you can help your Pastor
You can lighten the load of your Pastor by doing your part to be strong in the Lord and setting an example of how to be active participants in the church rather than dependents. We should learn to depend more on God than man for our strength so that we can help do the work of leading lost souls to Christ, discipling and learning how to give wise counsel to our brothers and sisters.

Recognition
Truthfully, most people want to be acknowledged for their good deeds and work, but Christians must remember that God sees your good works and he is the rewarder. Your gifts will make room for you and bring you before great men. Just do what you do with a pure heart and in excellence and give of yourself with unselfish motives and walk confidently through the doors that God opens for you.

How to give wise counsel
How can you be sure that you are giving wise counsel? Always ask yourself, what does the Bible say about this matter? Look for more than one example. Site the scriptures and the circumstances and allow God to minister to you about how it applies to the situation. Teach others how to do this for themselves and we will all be the ministers that God wants us to be.

God's gifts and their purpose for His church
11And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. 12His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),13[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[a]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. Ephesians 4:11-13 Amplified.

What part of the body are you?

A mentor once gave us an exercise to spiritually discern what part of the body we represent in the body of Christ. I cannot even remember what my response was, but today I was reminded of that exercise when my husband said, “I was thinking about you today. I was thinking about how you are like an artery. You need to constantly be filled in order to effectively pump blood to other parts of the body.” He described himself as a fingertip because of his diligence to work with his hands to complete his task. He’s a web master, designer and artist. I thought about how if you sever an artery, the blood loss is so rapid that the body dies quickly. Looking at myself in this way helped me to see how important I am to the Body of Christ. When I am fed through the Word of God, Worship and even fellowship with other God-fearing Christians like I was today in Sunday School and Worship Service, I have more to pour into that young sister that had never heard the story of Esther before I associated her gift for beautification with the process Esther went through before being brought before the King. I pray that I piqued her curiosity enough to make her want to read the story for herself. She had never heard of the Book of Esther, but there she was sitting in church. I pray she got what she came for and I thank God for extending me to her.

Temptation

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

We are all tempted to do things we shouldn’t do, say things we shouldn’t say and think things we shouldn’t think. Jesus Christ was no exception. He was also tempted by the same tempter that tempted Eve in the garden and continues to tempt us today. In Matthew 4 the bible tells the story of how Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, and AFTER he had fasted 40 days and 40 nights and was hungry….satan came to tempt him. Have you ever noticed how temptation is harder to resist when you are weak, hungry or desperate?

1 John, Chapter 2, verse 16 reads: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Let’s examine how the devil tempts through these three consistent methods:

First, the tempter challenged the identity and authority of Jesus by saying, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. (Here he’s appealing to the lust of the flesh and pride of life). Jesus responded with the Word of God – WHY? Because HE IS the word of God, and his response confirmed his identity and authority….What if someone said to you; “If you are really a child of God, the bible says that you can do what Jesus did, so show me a miracle?” What would you say? Like Jesus, you should respond with the Word of God. You can say, I AM the miracle ….because first I was lost and now I’m found. I have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. My sins have been forgiven. I am a new creature. I am an heir of Christ. I have eternal life. I would have been dead if not for the power of salvation and the gift of God’s grace. Jesus changed my life, and he will do the same for you if you accept him as your savior. When Jesus responded with “It is written”, He was quoting his own book. In Hebrews 9, it says, And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; In Hebrews 12, he is the author and finisher of our faith.

Next, the tempter took him up to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple and told him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. (Here he’s appealing to the Pride of Life) Again, Jesus quoted the book, It is written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. It is the fear of God that prevents us from tempting him. A wise man would not allow his pride to foolishly challenge God. After all, he is not at OUR beck and call, but we should be at his. It doesn’t mean that God will not hear us or respond to us when we call, but he is sovereign. He does as He wills.

Next, the tempter took him to a high mountain and showed him the kingdoms of the world and the kingdom’s in them……and this is where many of us fall. The devil said, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Jesus responded, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Unfortunately, the Lust of the Eye and the Pride of Life are a very effective combination because our enemy knows how much we love ourselves and our stuff): The fact is, we have idols. An idol is something that if the Lord asked you to give it up, you could not or would not. It could be a person, a desire or a thing. Think about Abraham’s test. He was asked to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac, the son he waited a lifetime to have, and then he was asked to give him back to God. This would be hard for any parent, but His faithfulness revealed God’s faithfulness….He didn’t even ask Abraham to do anything he wasn’t willing to do. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Contrary to popular belief, we CAN resist temptation. James 4:7 tells us how, Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

What is the reward for resisting temptation? It is also written in the book of James Chapter 1, verse 12. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Do you love Jesus? Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commandments.

I encourage you to Submit yourself to Christ today, and resist the temptation of sin so that you may obtain the reward of the Crown of Life. It’s priceless.

There is no "UN in Forgiveness

Have you ever wondered why the message of “forgiveness” never gets old in the church? I mean really – how many ways can you teach about the same thing?
We know scriptures like: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: written in Matthew 6:14
So why do preachers keep preaching it; teachers keep teaching it; and ministers keep ministering it? Because the body of Christ is still diseases. God’s servants can’t stop administering the medicine until the patient is well, and the body of Christ is not yet well. In fact, like a physical disease, the body keeps growing resistant to the medicine so new formulas are created and administered in an ongoing attempt to cure it. The body has even come up with a new word for this disease. It’s called “un-forgiveness”
Did you know that there is no such word as “unforgiveness” I mean literally. It is not a word. If you type it into a Word document a red line will appear underneath. That’s because it’s not in the dictionary. But people use this “incorrect” word all the time. I even stumbled upon a blog where others had come into the same knowledge as I. “Unforgiveness” is not a legitimate word in the English language.
So, I began to ponder this disease and this new word for it. I prayed for revelation about it, and this is what I received…..Unforgiveness is not a word because there is no “un” in forgiveness. There is only forgiveness or disobedience.
Some of us don’t forgive because we have judged someone in the court of our own mind, according to our own standards and expectations. For this reason, the Lord says, in Matthew 7 “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”
Sometimes, the Lord will allow us to endure offenses to show us some aspect of our self that needs to be addressed. So, the next time you are offended, ask the Lord to show you if there is something he is trying to bring to your attention. Ask Him to search your heart, and renew a right spirit within you. In Romans 2, Paul says, “Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.”
Also, the next time you withhold forgiveness because you have judged a person for their actions in the court of your own mind, remember ALL that God has forgiven you for. Psalm 32:5 reads “I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.” ….Yes, pause and think about His forgiveness for a moment…… Now, consider the instructions to the body of Christ documented in James 5:16. “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
If we pray for the person we are having difficulty forgiving and allow the forgiveness of Jesus to usher us into a place of humility, our heart WILL soften and we WILL discover compassion that we could not muster on our own. The forgiveness of Christ will have its perfect work in us, and we will be healed.
How much and how long are we expected to forgive? In Matthew 18:21-22 the bible recounts a time when Peter asked Jesus, “Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven”.…….In Luke 17 Jesus is quoted as saying… “And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him……And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. ”
Like the Apostles, we may need the Lord to increase our faith, but we can still strive to love like Jesus. In Psalm 86:5, David says, “For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.” Let us be GOOD and READY to forgive with mercy.
Now, let’s talk about the consequences for disobedience. Jesus used this parable in Matthew 18 to demonstrate what WILL happen to us when we do not forgive others as we have been forgiven. He begins by establishing the fact that this parable represents a kingdom principle.
“Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt. But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done. Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.”
This story is an example of how our disobedience and unwillingness to forgive can cancel out forgiveness that we have received or possibly would have received if we had just been obedient.
Mark 11:25 reads…”And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” So, in other words before we even ask for forgiveness from God, we had better forgive our brother or sister FIRST.
Now, you may say that you have forgiven……and you have turned your back and walked away from someone who has hurt you, and you think you have done your duty, but this is not the kind of forgiveness that Jesus speaks of. He said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” Now, what did Jesus say was the greatest commandment after “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind?” That’s right. It is to “love your neighbor AS YOURSELF”. Do you ignore yourself? Do you ignore your needs? 2 Corinthians 5:18 tells us that WE have the “ministry of reconciliation”. No matter what else we are doing, this is our FIRST ministry as believers. We cannot expect that our great works for the kingdom will excuse the rejection of one of “His little ones?” Therefore, it is not enough to just SAY that we have forgiven and walk away……but we must reconcile with actions in order to demonstrate our love for Jesus.
1 John 3:18 reads…..My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
In closing, I will read a passage from the New King James version of the Holy Bible. The heading is “The Greatest Gift.” I recommend that you think of it as the greatest gift that you can give Jesus to demonstrate your love for Him….. and let it trickle down to man. Focus on Jesus, not man and you can do what seems impossible. This great gift was passed down to us through the revelation and obedience of the Apostle Paul.
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
This is 1 Corinthians, Chapter 13 – in its entirety.
Today, I encourage you to forgive AND reconcile to show your love complete. Remember, there is no “un” in Forgiveness. There is only forgiveness and disobedience.
If this message has touched your heart as much as it has wrenched mine… I invite you to close your eyes and bow your head with me now as I pray a personal prayer of agreement with the Lord. You may receive it for yourself if it agrees with your spirit.:
Thank you, Father for your word of truth. Teach me how to love not only in word, but in deed. Lord, have mercy on me. For I have never had a love like yours before and sometimes I just don’t know how to act, but I thank you for your holy spirit that leads and guides me into all truth. Lord, transform me into a minister of righteousness. Teach me how to be a minister of reconciliation. Lord, Increase my faith. Teach me how to Love my enemies, bless them that curse me, do good to them that hate me, and pray for them who despitefully use and persecute me. I cannot accomplish this kind of love on my own, but I know that all things are possible with you. Lord, I release pride, rebellion and stubbornness and allow the fruit of the spirit (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, and temperance to reign in my life. I submit to the mind of Christ right now and allow it to override my programming as I surrender my heart and mind to you. Lord, I submit to your wisdom; your will; and your way. Amen.

FEAR: A Devotional by The Prophetic Scribe

Why do we fear the things we shouldn’t fear and not fear the thing that we should?
Matthew 10:28 reads… fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

There is a godly fear that is healthy. It is the fear of God.

The fear of God we speak of means to: Stand in awe of, to reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience, to honor, to respect. However, it also means to be afraid of, to fear and dread.

Some will question a God that you must fear, but think about the fear we had of our parents as children. A certain amount of fear of our parents was in fact healthy. There are things we did not do because we were afraid of the punishment and disapproval of our parents. When we did something bad, we dreaded going home to face the music, although it didn’t sound much like music at the time. Some of us remember our parents saying things like, this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you…. Yeah, right, we thought. But, the fact is, most of our parents demanded to be respected. Well, so does God…and he deserves our fear AND our obedience even more than any man because HE IS GOD.

God once said to the prophet Jeremiah, “Should you not fear me?" "Should you not tremble in my presence?" He is saying the same thing to us.
However, instead of fearing God, many people spend time fearing man: what will they think; what will they say; what will they do? … Or worse, fearing things that have not happened and often never will.

Some people embrace fear to the point of paranoia…even provoking their bodies to respond physically to the imagined threat….and if it gets too bad, a physician will prescribe drugs to pacify the person with dis-ease caused by unhealthy thinking.

Let me tell you something. The wisdom, knowledge and understanding that you acquire from God’s word is that when you fear him, he takes care of everything in your life so that you have nothing to fear. Did you know that there are over 100 “fear not” scriptures in the bible where God instructs us not to be afraid because he has it? He encourages us to be courageous, and not be fearful. When we fear God, we trade in all of our worldly fears because in the safety of his love, there is nothing we need to fear. So, fear God and walk fearlessly.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

The truth about Grace (Truth & Consequences)

Let's talk about God's grace and mercy.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
Take note that we are to go before the throne of grace BEFORE we sin, not afterwards. It is this grace that prevents us from sinning.

When we sin, the word of God gives us a promise that nullifies guilt, shame and condemnation:
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1
However, consider the fact that many of God's promises contain conditions and qualifications. God qualifies who this particular promise of "no condemnation" applies to "those who walk after the spirit, and not the flesh"

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
We would do well to pay attention to the "if's" in God's word. In this verse, he gives a condition for forgiveness. We must confess our sin to receive forgiveness.
A couple other verses to seriously consider is the confession of faith that we make when we invite Jesus into our life.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
The words "if" and "and" are key to this confession. It is even clarified in Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. This is profound because the believing is unto righteousness (In Greek the word is dikaiosune, which literally means equity of character. Equity of character is to possess all good qualities in perfection and perfect balance)and speaking (confessing that we are sinners and need Jesus in our life) brings salvation.

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:4
What we must remember is that the righteousness of the law (consequences of our actions) is fulfilled even when we have confessed and received forgiveness. So even though we receive God's forgiveness, it does not mean that we escape the consequences of our actions. Some of these consequences are immediate and destructive and some of them are spiritual and cost us the blessings that would have come through our obedience.

Sadly, many Christians find it easier to rely on grace using excuses like, "God already knew I was going to sin before I did, and he has it covered." What they neglect to fully realize is that we are always given a choice, and relying on grace to cover premeditated sin is just an excuse - one that God will not tolerate.

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Romans 6:15

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22,23

Even though God knows our weaknesses, he also knows that he has provided ways to avoid temptation and sin through his word, prayer, fasting and reliance on him to deliver us from ourselves.

"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you". James 4:7

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10
We are not to succumb to sin and ask for forgiveness later, we are to rejoice in overcoming the temptation of sin by surrendering ourselves to God in weakness by confessing that we are weak and asking for his help (in advance). This is what makes us strong and leads to living a truly righteous life.

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 2 Corinthians 13:9

The lack of Christian morality to heed the word of God concerning holiness is causing Christians to be compromising, complacent and more accepting of sin. Basically, taking grace for granted.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16 [also Leviticus 19:2]

I have heard sinners and believers alike refer to people as "holier than thou". First of all, the word thou means "you". If I am striving to live a holy life and you are not, then guess what? I am holier than thou, and I'm not going to make apologies for wanting to be righteous before God and man and sacrificing the things and ways of the world to do so. Too many Christians act as if being holy is impossible. Well, check out what the word of God says:

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23

And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Mark 10:27

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Colossians 1:28

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:21

It is true that man in and of himself cannot be perfect, but in Christ we can be. God would not ask us to be something that was impossible for us to be because he is not a man that he should lie, and his desire for us to be holy requires work, dedication, and an ernest desire on our part. To accomplish holiness, we have to make the right choices, and as believers our decisions should be rooted in the word of God because that is where God has given us instructions to accomplish our task. The bottom line is that we have to want holiness more than we want to please our flesh. Yes, through grace we are forgiven, but when you have to ask for forgiveness over and over for the same thing, what does that tell God? It might tell him that we have not truly repented because we keep returning to the scene of the crime.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. John 5:14

Jesus spoke very directly about how he would know if we love him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23

Now I ask you, if the Father and Son have made their abode in you (live inside you), along with the holy spirit (which guides us into all truth according to John 16:13)how can sin abide? The answer is through our disobedience and rebellion against the God that we claim to love.

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Philippians 3:14,15

Like the Apostle Paul, I do not claim to be perfect or without sin. On the contrary, this very document was written under the conviction of the holy spirit in response to a fall. However, I thank God that in humility I confess my sins and share that my ernest desire for holiness does not allow me to use grace as a balm to cover blatant disobedience. My desire is still to live a life of purity and holiness, and although I accept the forgiveness that comes with grace, I am also keenly aware of the sacrifice for disobedience. The things God has promised me come with conditions, and when I disobey, I lose something and the law of righteousness will take affect. It is not a punishment from God. It is the consequences of my actions. It is the law of righteousness.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
There's that "if" again.

How could I possibly boast, as some do, about the power of God that works within me when I have not used that same power to keep myself from sinning. How could I be a credible witness when I can teach it, preach it, and instruct others, but cannot do the same before God? I'm speaking to leaders now. It is not enough for us to keep sinning and repenting and relying on grace while we try to tell others how to live. Jesus spoke of people like that. He often prefaced God's judgment of hypocrites with "Woe to you" [Matthew 23]

And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. Matthew 6:5

A repentant heart is what I look for in a leader. An honest, truthful, sincere heart that loves God more than their own pride. For how can a man or woman of God be a credible witness for Christ if their life does not line up with the word of God that they speak from their own mouths, and they cannot admit it when they are wrong.

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Matthew 12:34

So, precious sheep, beware of false prophets. Anyone can quote scripture, but listen carefully to the spirit, and watch their lives. Does it line up?
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

I pray that I am known as a woman of God whose life lines up with what I preach and that when I am wrong, I am never too proud to admit it.

Internet Predators on Christian Dating Sites

Wolves in Sheep's Clothing:
We have a perception of Internet predators being creepy, ex-convicts and pedophiles that are posted on bulletin boards and watched by neighbors and police. However, many Internet predators are men and women who claim to be saved - even leaders in the church. Yes, that's right...Pastors, Prophets, Deacons, and Ministers, both male and female who engage in phone sex, fornication, adultery, and pornography behind the veil of the Internet. Some are experienced predators, and some just get caught in the net. The fact is that Christian dating sites are no safer than non-Christian sites when it comes to being deceived. On Internet dating sites Christians must BEWARE OF WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING.

The Seduction:
A man or woman of God is very attractive. The word of God can be a very seductive tool for the experienced seducer. The bible says, that even satan appears as an angel of light. He knows the word too, and his most effective tool is our weakness. He uses God's people to perform his work. He knows our weaknesses and appeals to them. So, we are first seduced by satan (because we don't resist), then we allow this lustful spirit to contaminate his people through us as we spread our sin in secret.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

Therefore I offer the following tips for Christian Internet Daters:
1) Pray the full armor to prepare you for the spiritual realm (cyberspace) that you are entering. Pray that the Lord give you discernment.
2) Pay attention to the screen name and avoid it if it is sexual in nature. If it is ambiguous, a great ice breaker is to ask how they came up with that screen name.
3) Avoid profiles that include profanity (even acronyms !@#&*)that translate to curse words.
4) Avoid "legally separated" They are still married. How can they be serious about starting a relationship with you when they aren't even out of their last relationship?
5) Avoid Christian men/women who confess their sexual lust as a weakness and try to lead you down the road to destruction with them. Don't fool yourself into thinking that you can help them lest you fall too. Dont' be seduced. Pray that they repent - from afar.
6) Be wary of men/women who have several children, but have never been married.
7) Be wary of women who's profile photos look like Playboy spreads or men who are topless or naked.
8) Avoid men/women who sound bitter, mean, angry or abusive. This is a sign that they need to forgive those that they perceive have hurt them. Pray for them from afar.
9) Pay attention to their choice of music, movies and entertainment.
10) Let your profile be an example of holiness. It will set a standard, be boring to most predators, and it doesn't expose your emotional vulnerabilities or invite carnal play.
11) Pray as the Lord leads you for the souls on these sites.
12) If God sent you there, don't neglect your assignment - to lead lost souls to Christ, minister reconciliation, and encourage believers to be holy because it is God's desire.
13) If God did not send you there, you may be a predator or prey - ask God to reveal and expose your own motives to you, and to help you work out your real issues - offline.

Walking alone

I grew up being an advisor to kids my age, and even older people. Over the years there have been people who have sworn undying loyalty to me while I walked them through difficult times in their lives, but for no apparent reason they just stopped calling. My feelings almost got hurt, but the Lord ministered to me and told me that most relationships are for a season. He showed me the impact that I made on the lives of others and he said, "do it unto me. I see you." So, I've learned not to expect people to reciprocate. Many of them are not equipped to do so. I have learned that if I don't have expectations, I can't be disappointed. However, sometimes letting go still hurts a little

I'm excited about the new season that I am entering. However, today I feel the ache in my heart about all of the things and people that I have to let go. In this season, I'm not fighting to keep anything. It's all just "stuff" to me. Stuff that I've had before and stuff that I can get again. This attitude kind of appears like I don't place much value in anything or anyone, and it might even sound a little cold. Of course, I value friends and relationships, but let's face it. They come and they go too.

I'm nearly a half century old and, looking back, I can see a pattern. That's growth because I used to see a cycle. There is a difference. A cycle is a circle. A circle of events that reoccur over and over and over again in your life. A pattern is more like a blueprint or map of events that may take on a different cast of people or location or even circumstance, but the principle remains consistent.

I envision my life as a patterned quilt made up of all the lovely things that I am, that I experience and that I treasure. The old pieces that mar the pattern are slowly being replaced by brighter pictures that complement the pattern. I thank God for the uniqueness of every piece and the replacement of the old pieces that are no longer relevant. And I also thank God that in the midst of this great pattern of my life that I still stand out - even if I do look a little odd - at least I'm not the same as everything and everybody else. It's just a reminder that I have been set apart by God for His purpose.

Strategic Spiritual Warfare

In a prophetic dream, the Lord gave me specific instructions concerning spiritual warfare. He used a chess board as an example, and had me take notes in the dream. I have never had a dream like this before.

This is the strategy that he described:

The Pawns - He said, These are on the front lines. They are the easiest to eliminate when untrained. They are the carnal, compromising Christians. They are easily offended, misled and weak. However, their weakness MUST be developed into strengths. These are the sensitive, the humble, the meek, the last and the least. Their power is in their "passion". They can be trained to be a fortified wall (a hedge of protection around the kingdom). They are wailing women & lamenters.

Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbour lamentation. Jeremiah 9:20

3.....And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; 4And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
5And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Ezekiel 9:3-5
GOD CALLS THEM: (Wailers, Lamenters, Praisers, Worshippers, Scribes)

The Rook is the Watchman. This chess piece is shaped like a tower. Watchman watch from a tower. This piece moves horizontally and vertically on the chess board. Front to back and Side to side without limitation. Watching, Reporting, Warning, Blowing the trumpet, Announcing, and Foreseeing.
GOD CALLS THEM: (Discerners of Spirits, Ushers, Intercessors)

The Bishop is the Priest . They move diagonally without limitation. They Advise, Encourage, Direct, Instruct, Counsel, Teach and move throughout the kingdom keeping order, and enforcing the laws. (chess board)
GOD CALLS THEM: (Leaders, Ministers, Deacons, Armor Bearer, Scribes, Administrator)

The Knights are Warriors. They move in 3 steps. 2 to the front and one to the side or 2 to the side and one to the front (in either direction). The knight moves strategically. His moves are calculated and well thought out. If every avenue is not examined carefully, before making a move, the knight will be upon the enemy before they realize it.
GOD CALLS THEM: (Prayer Warriors, Teachers, Preachers, Evangelists, Prophets)

The Queen is the last line of defense against total infiltration. She has the most negotiating power. Her power is reserved to be used as a last result. In battle, her sole purpose is to protect the King. (The demonstration that Apostle Davis gave was prophetic). She can move all over the board (kingdom), and has full reign without restriction. Her life is very valuable. It is the responsiblity of the entire kingdom to protect her. Ideally, she should not have to fight.
GOD CALLS HER: (Wife)

The King. If the enemy makes it into the kingdom, the King is boxed in a corner. He can only move one step at a time in every direction except backward. His back is against the wall.
GOD CALLS HIM: (Apostle, Pastor)

The Lord said, Train the Troops. Identify their positions. As they offensively go in to possess the land, position the warriors (pawns, knights, rooks) in the field, and the ones gifted in wisdom (Bishops) in the inner courts. Teach them offensive and defensive maneuvers so that they are skilled in spiritual combat. Teach them to watch out for and protect one another. Command the troops, and test their obedience so that you will know who you can trust to do what [like Gideon's troops]. This structure will sustain and be the foundation for the the New Church. It will be impenetrable, says the Lord.

The Lord then began to minister to me about the prayer process.

He said, the reason my people's prayers are not answered is that they do not understand how to use the weapons of warfare that I have given them. They must prepare themselves to enter my presence. The Lord then gave me specific instructions about how to approach his throne through confession, purification, praise, worship, praying his word, intercession, petition, thanksgiving, meditation, and the result is testimony and prophetic revelation. He said, "Then nothing you ask, will I deny."

He explained to me that even though the original process for entering the Holy of Holies has been established under the new covenant in Jesus Christ, that in the spirit it is still the same pattern/process given to the priests as described in the Old Testament (Exodus). We need to confess, be cleansed and be purified before we boldly approach the throne of God to make a petition. This way he recognizes us through the blood of Jesus Christ or we risk being unrecognizeable because we have no right to approach the throne on our own except through Jesus the Christ.

Are you called by God to be a Diva?

I have been to a lot of Christian events where there there have been Christian workshops and classes referring to women of God as Diva's. I'm offended by this term so I don't attend these classes. I used to use the term myself, and have several friends who ascribe to being Diva's. But, being the literary nerd that I am, I looked up the meaning of the word, and was turned off by it because I didn't see Jesus anywhere in the description. I asked myself, "Did God call Christian women to be Divas?" This description is not in the Bible. It is a worldly term, so I looked up the attributes of a Diva to see if it glorified God and this is what I found:

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diva - The term is often used with a negative connotation deriving from the implication that a star who is a "diva" is arrogant, difficult to work with, high maintenance, manipulative, fussy, highly strung, privileged and demanding. Professional singers and actors often use this term to describe someone who desires the stage spotlight over others. At a college seminar, singer Bobby McFerrin said the term stands for "difficult individual vying for attention." The term "prima donna" has similarly entered common usage with the same negative interpretation. In Beyoncé Knowles' song, Diva (Beyoncé Knowles song), she claims that a diva is "a female version of a hustler".

Another definition from http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/diva defines a diva as 1) Any female celebrity, usually a well known singer or actress. 2) person who considers herself (or by extension himself) much more important than others, has high expectations of others and becomes angry when their standards or demands are not met

Why would we want to emulate the most unattractive attributes of a woman (by God's standards) because the world (God's opposite/enemy) promotes her as beautiful and glamorous and has a voice like an angel. Let me remind you that Satan (the angel) had a beautiful voice too, but vanity and pride caused him to think more of himself, rebel and lose his place in the Kingdom of God. Now he lives in darkness, and tries to make as many of us into his likeness as possible. Are we falling for his trap? We should not be ignorant of his devices.

Let's Examine the scripture below.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.1 Corinthians 13 NKJV]

The Bible instructs us not to be arrogant, rude or demand our own way because it does not reflect the love of God.

According to verse 8, we can actually lose our annointing by behaving like a Diva. So, why would we speak this kind of personality and attitude over our lives?

Who is divine, but Jesus? We are to take on HIS divine nature. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. [ 2 Peter 1:4]

Women of God. It is time that we begin to look like, be defined by, and reflect the one to whom we belong. The description "Diva" does not reflect a Christ attitude. Therefore, I personally would not wear it. I would rather be clothed in God's righteousness, not that of the world or even myself.

As the time grows closer for the return of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, we need to examine what we are speaking over ourselves, our daughters and each other. I want to be recognized as a woman of virtue, not vanity.

Will our Lord see himself in us when he returns for his bride. Will he be looking for Diva's? I don't think so. Jesus is coming back for a people that look like himself. Those made in God's likeness and image.

Are you suppressing the Testimony of Christ?

To the people who are looking for signs and wonders. WE ARE THE SIGN. WE ARE THE WONDER. We are a sign to future generations that God is faithful, and it's a wonder we survived - BUT GOD! The testimony always went forth after Jesus or the Apostles performed a miracle. Guess what? WE ARE THE MIRACLE. How will people come to believe unless we become transparent enough to tell how ugly things appeared to be when we did not have a relationship with Christ?

Last night in prayer, I meditated on Christ's passion. I thought about how ugly he appeared to be while being dragged through the streets, beaten, ridiculed, humiliated, mangled and ultimately killed, but the power of the Testimony of Christ is that after three days he rose to fulfill every promise that He and the Father had made, and God poured out His Holy Spirit into believers that reconnected us with Him forever, and we received Grace. I thank God that Jesus didn't care what people thought about Him.....Then, I thought about how we suppress the Testimony over something as small as we are afraid of what people might say or think about us. Guess what? IT'S NOT ABOUT US.

Here's another thing. If the Lord says, "dance for me", and we don't. If he says, "sing for me", andwe don't. If he says, "pray out loud in front of everyone" and we don't, we are suppressing the Testimony. The testimony isn't always a story. Sometimes, it is the creative action of the Holy Spirit working through us that brings about deliverance, healing or leads an unbeliever to salvation. God often used the prophets of old to communicate a message through demonstation. Ezekiel had to do some things with his hair [Ezekiel 5]. Hosea had to marry a prostitute

We are instructed through the Word of God to not be afraid of the faces of men [Jeremiah 1:8; Deuteronomy 1:17]. Think about this. Why should you be afraid of what someone will say about your testimony? It is their salvation at stake if they deny the power of Christ. In Matthew 12, Jesus healed a man of demon possession. The Pharisees who witnessed this miracle said that Jesus was able to cast out the demon because He was the ruler of demons. Jesus'reply to them was that they blasphemed the Holy Spirit, for which they could never be forgiven [Matthew 12:31]. So, we should pray for those who mock us, but definitely not be intimidated by them.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word oftheir testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev.12:11

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thoudo it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have thetestimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is thespirit of prophecy. Rev. 19:10

What MLK Day means to me

It is a blessing to see the fruit of God's promises that were spoken through Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as we inaugurate our first African-American President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama..

In the 60's, I was one of the first black students in my neighborhood to be bussed to an all-white Elementary school. In addition to participating in several civil rights marches as a child with my mother, we were also one of the first proud owners of the Negro Heritage Library Encyclopedia series. So, needless to say, all of my book reports in school were about black history. I taught my fellow students and teachers all about famous black doctors, lawyers, orators, artists, authors and inventors that were not mentioned in our history books at school. I was a straight A student.

One Halloween when the other children were wearing store bought costumes, my mother swaddled me in brightly colored fabric and tied a turban on my head to match. She called me her little African Princess, and it made me proud. My posture and attitude completed the costume. You couldn't tell me that I wasn't royalty. When questioned by the students and teachers about the costume, I told them stories about the great Kings and Queens of Africa.

On the day that Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated, my mother cried and fainted on the kitchen floor when she heard it on the news. The whole family mourned like we had lost a relative; in essence we had. Dr. King was a part of our family. My dad, who was a preacher himself, played Dr. King's speeches over and over on a phonograph, and recited them vebatim. As a child, Dr. King's words instilled dignity, pride, hope and faith in God into my young soul.

A few years ago, my step-children came home upset because they had been called the "n" word at the playground in our community. They didnt' know what it meant, but they knew it was an insult. I could see the pain in their eyes. So, during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day, we watched the whole series of Alex Haley's ROOTS. They loved the story, especially the Chicken George character. When it was over, I asked my daughters what they thought about what that little boy had called them now. The oldest replied, "He just doesn't know God, Mommy. " I was impressed. "That's right baby. Some people just don't know God so you have to show them who God is by being yourself because you are so full of God's love that it will just spill off onto them," I told her while giving her a big hug. "...and through you, maybe they will want to know God even more."

It's important to teach our children about their ancestral history. Unlike most cultures, much of our African history was lost during the slave trade (i.e., our language, surname, family members, etc.), and many of us may not even know who our great-great grandparents were, let alone our Africa roots. However, the history about African-American's who have overcome hundreds of years of slavery, stereotypes, prejudice, and injustice are stories worth telling, and a legacy worth knowing. Maybe our children will appreciate who they are and the liberty and freedom that they have today if they know the boldness, struggles, and sacrifices that were made by our ancestors that made these things possible. During Black History month, I encourage you to visit the bookstore, library, museum, cultural events and recreation centers to learn more about Black History and Culture.

New Year's Day on Prayer Mountain

Testimony from Prayer Mountain

The Lord told me, “Go to the mountain on the East that I will show you, and meet me there on New Year’s Day. According to the instructions of my Prophet from Colorado, you will decree and declare dominion and victory over this region called Sin City. You will take authority over the gateways leading in and out of this city. As my prophetess from Chicago further confirmed just last week, you will come to the mountain in obedience to me, your God. Even the vision that I showed you ten years ago of the mountains behind you and the city laid out before you confirms the purpose and promise of this meeting. You have been obedient to go to the East as I have directed you from the beginning. You have not detoured from my instructions. Consecrate yourself, for where we will meet is Holy ground. Meet me on the mountain that I will show you before sunrise on New Year’s Day. I will keep my promise to you.” Said the Lord

Up until New Year’s Eve, I did not know the location of the mountain or the road that would lead me there. I knew what the view looked like, and I knew it was on the East, but that’s all I knew. In angst, I began to search aerial maps on the Internet, road maps, and even thought about going to other mountains that were more convenient to get to, but the Lord said, “I will show you.” So, on the way home on New Year’s Eve as I fretted about it, I arrived at the intersection leading to my house and suddenly the Lord said, “Go straight.” So, I did. The road led through a new community of homes and just where the road should have ended, it continued up a hill along a ragged, but paved road straight to the foot of the mountain. When the road ended, I turned the car around facing the city, and got out of the car. Behind me was the mountain and before me laid the entire Las Vegas valley. There were no houses or buildings. It was desolate. It was the exact view that the Lord had shown me in a vision ten years ago. Tears came to my eyes as I worshipped God on the mountain. Then he said, “This is your mountain. I give it to you. Meet me here at sunrise.” I couldn’t believe that the mountain was five minutes from my house. I thanked the Lord all the way home for keeping his promise, and making it so convenient.

I went home and tried to prepare myself for my meeting with God. I gathered scriptures, a worship CD, my Bible, and of course, my journal to record the word of the Lord. I prepared as I would for any important meeting. Before I went to bed, the Lord led me to the book of Ruth. I read it, prayed to the Lord to prepare my heart, mind and Spirit for our meeting before going to bed. I could hear gun fire and fireworks around midnight, but it did not effect me as I drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, I got up at dawn, a little concerned about being late, but the Lord reassured me. “You keep saying dawn, but I told you to meet me on the mountain before the sun rises,” He said. I was relieved because even though I was meeting God and trusted Him for my safety, the prospect of being on that mountain alone in the dark was a bit uncomfortable, but the Lord had taken care of that too. So, I got dressed quickly and headed up to the mountain, five minutes away. As soon as I arrived, I was met by the glory of God. Tears streamed down my face again as I praised and worshipped God. Then, I confessed all of my known and unknown sins and surrendered myself completely to God. I asked Him to purify my heart, and He told me. “If you will dine on the fruit of the Spirit daily, you will be purified.” Afterwards, I prayed scripture, made declarations concerning my life, the West Coast region and Las Vegas, and made petitions and intercession on behalf of myself and others. I thanked God for being My God, a Faithful God, a Just God, and extolled His many virtues and attributes. Then, the sun began to rise over the mountain behind me. The Lord said, “As the sun rises, praise my son who rose, and met you here on this mountain.” So, I raised my hands to the heavens and praised the name of Jesus on the mountain. As the sun hit the buildings below, they began to sparkle like stars, and the Lord confirmed His promises concerning what He would do for me as I walked in obedience to Him. He referred to the Book of Ruth, and told me to “glean” until He gave me the land to possess. “Your husband will provide for you,” He said. When I finally looked at the clock, it was time to go to work, so I left my Prayer Mountain…..until the next appointed time. As I drove down from the hill, I noticed debris scattered on the side of the raggedy road and a sign that read “landfill area.” It was ironic because as I drove down from the mountain, I knew that the spiritual debris that I took up with me was not coming back down with me.

It was the best New Year’s Day/Date that I have ever had.

Abortion (A Testimony)

Recently, I was reconnected with an old boyfriend whom I was in love with many years ago. When we were young, we had it going on. He was in the music business (working for a major record label), and I was in radio (working for the largest black owned media company in the country). We were both in our early 20's and living the fast life in the entertainment industry. During the years with him, I got pregnant (more than once), and had abortions. It took years for me to forgive myself. But, recently we were reconnected and the Lord told me that I had to share my testimony with him.

"At first I wanted to blame you", I told him, ..."but the Lord showed me that I was just as selfish - after all, I ultimately made the decision". "Then, I had to admit that I was a murderer." - CONFESSION was the beginning of my healing. "Then, I mourned for the children that I killed and asked God for FORGIVENESS" - and he was faithful to forgive me and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.

"Then, I had to forgive myself - knowing that depression and guilt were the consequences for my actions" - but God used me as a testimony.
"Then, I had to learn how to RESIST the devil who kept condemning me with my past and convincing me that I would have to pay for what I did" - creating a phobia and a fear of pregnancy that affected my marriage because I was convinced that my punishment would be death if I tried to have a child - after all I deserved to die for those I had killed - a life for a life, right?. But the Lord ministered to me There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

I realized that only God could forgive sins and forgiveness was available through His son, Jesus Christ. The process of forgiving myself took years, but when I got tired of listening to satans accustions, I finally took it to God and he made me a testimony. We overcame him [the devil and his accusations] by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.” Revelation 12:11 So, I reminded myself of the grace that I received through salvation in Jesus Christ.

One day as I was fretting about dying on the birthing table, the Lord said to me, "What if you did die? Would you die for a child that I blessed you with in older age." He then led me to His word where I read the stories of Elizabeth, mother of John and Sarah, wife of Abraham. "Is there anything too hard for God", he asked. I said, "No." Then, "Yes, Lord. I would die for him." But, the Lord ministered to my heart that it wasn't even about dying, it was about trusting God (even in the worst case scenario) ...and I was set free with that confession of faith.

As I told the testimony to the man who would have been the father, he was convicted, received deliverance and was set free right then because he immediately repented, and asked God for forgiveness. I thanked God that over the years we had both been born again and received Jesus as our Lord and savior. We were not the people we used to be. I told my friend that we never had to discuss it again. It was finally finished, thirty years after it began. The Lord was faithful to bring the matter to a conclusion, once I was willing to confess, mourn, tell the testimony and let it go.

I pray that this testimony blesses someone. If you haven't had an abortion yet, and you do not know Jesus, Pray: Jesus I confess my sins to you. I know that you have the power to forgive sins and I want to be cleansed. I want to receive the grace that only you can give. I invite you into my heart and ask you to change me and to give me strength to resist my old ways of thinking and acting. I accept you as my savior and I give my life to you. Move on my behalf. Make my path clear. Protect my mind and help me make the right decisions.

If you are already "saved", remember that God loves you and once you confess and turn away from sin, he throws your sin in the sea of forgetfulness. Do not listen to the accusations of the enemy. The bible says that he accuses us before the Father day and night, but Jesus intercedes for us. He paid the price for our sins and his work is finished and good forever.

A Date with the King (A story by The Prophetic Scribe)

This is the day she had been waiting for all week long. She had a date with the king. All week long, he was all she could think about. Although, they communicated several times a day, their relationship had grown more and more intimate over the years. She could not wait to get in his presence and worship him.

She showered and took great care with her grooming. Truthfully, he did not care how she looked because when he looked at her, he saw her heart. Nevertheless, she wanted him to know how much she cared. That’s what he would see in her heart – her desire to be her best for him. She dressed her best for that job interview, that business meeting, and that young man that she knew had his eyes on her, and her king deserved even more, so she put forth the effort with great pleasure.

She looked at herself in the mirror. She wanted to make sure that she represented him well. When people looked at her, they would know by her attitude, her posture and her grace that she belonged to him. They would recognize her as a child of the king because the fruits of the spirit would be demonstrated through her interaction with people. Finally, she was ready for her date with the king, and anyone that she might encounter along the way.

It was time. She picked up her Bible and left the house. When she arrived at the church, she entered the house of God exuding warmth, and drawing the attention of the congregants with a smile that was sincere, genuine and inviting. She greeted her brothers and sisters with a holy kiss on the cheek and the children ran to hug her. As the worship service began, she forgot all about the people around her. She was transported beyond the veil, to the throne of God. She bowed at his feet and worshipped him. She praised his name and called him holy. She asked him if he was pleased with her, and he responded, “I am well pleased with you, daughter. You have been faithful with a little, so now I know that I can trust you with even more. All men will call you blessed.” She was overcome with thanks. As the tears of joy ran down her face, she became aware of her surroundings. As the service continued, the Lord spoke through the Pastor confirming the mysteries that God had revealed to her all week long in their conversations.

After church, she went to lunch. The glory of God was upon her. The people in the restaurant were intrigued by her as she sat at a table for two (only one was visible) enjoying her lunch. As she left the restaurant, a young woman approached her. She asked, “Don’t you feel strange eating lunch alone. You seem so comfortable. I always feel awkward when I’m alone in a restaurant. I feel like everyone is looking at me. Being alone doesn’t seem to bother you a bit. How do you do it … I mean, have that kind of confidence?” The woman of God smiled, “It’s really very simple. I’m never alone. Jesus is always with me. Do you have a relationship with Jesus?”

“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” JOHN 12:32

Hidden Baggage

Hiding your baggage that you think no one else can see
Coming to God with dirty hands on bended knee
You were commanded to get rid of it long ago,
But you examine it in secret where you think no one will know.

Hiding your baggage, but it remains in plain site
Of the prophets that God sends to teach you how to travel light.
Your baggage is so heavy that you cannot even name it,
But because it is familiar, you continue to claim it.

You’re still hiding baggage that you haven’t used in years.
Dragging it around to remind you of the tears.
Your baggage is so old
that you don’t even remember what’s in it anymore.
So, why don’t you just throw that old baggage out of the door?

Say, good-bye, turn around and walk away.
Focus on what God has for you today.
Look straight ahead,
instead of the other way.
Let God guide you into a new day.

Baggage be gone in the name of Jesus!
Throw it out - in favor of obedience.
His yoke is easy, and your burdens he will bear.
All you have to do is get that baggage out of there.
So, clean out those closets containing old baggage today.
The books, cd's and unholy items must be thrown away.
Don’t pass them along to someone else.
Other souls are at stake, besides yourself.
The things, people and spirits that don’t agree with God’s word,
Must be cast out of your life. Notice must be served.

Loose peace and joy into your life.
Decree and declare that you are justified by Christ.
Bind all of those things that you have tossed out
To the abyss where there is no way out.
Now, walk in power and authority when the baggage is gone.
You should be asking yourself why it took so long?
Thank the Lord for opening your eyes.
Now, this here is your victory cry.

I’ve been delivered
I’ve been set free.
According to God’s word that lives in me.
No more baggage or bondage holding me.
By the power of Christ,
I can be all that God intends for me to be.
Now, I can see how that baggage was haunting me.
And, this testimony is a prophecy.
If God did it for me, he will do it for you.
Release the old, and live in expectation of the new.
And remember always
that God love you, too.

He will never forsake you
Or leave you alone.
He lives inside, so he's closer than the phone.
So, call on HIS name, Jesus!
And he will answer you.
Now that you have received His instructions,
What will YOU do?

Transparency

According to dictionary.com, the definition of transparent is: so sheer as to permit light to pass through; easily seen through, recognized, or detected: open; frank; candid; shining through, as light.

To live a transparent life requires boldness.
To be transparent means that you are willing to be honest, sincere and truthful .
There are no ulterior motives in transparency.
Through transparency, weaknesses (iniquities) are exposed, confessed, and Christ is glorified [2 Cor 12:10]
Through transparency hidden things are revealed [Lk 12:2].
To be transparent means being vulnerable.
To be transparent means allowing yourself to be known, seen and heard as truth.
To be transparent requires abandoning pride, shame, guilt, fear of judgment, acceptance, approval and validation from man.
Being transparent may mean standing alone because other people will be embarrassed by what you may say or what people might think about your bold, uncompromising stand for Christ [ 2 Tim 1:8].

Many people will claim to be transparent, but they are prideful in their heart. They love their lives to the death [Rev 12:11]. They would rather die, than let you see any weakness in them. It's really very pointless because God knows and you can't fool all of the people all of the time. Your sin will eventually be exposed [Num 32:23]. This is not to say that we have to share everything with everybody, but with our desire to be transparent, God gives us wisdom about how and when to give a testimony that will glorify him and lead people back to him. He desires truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden parts, he shows us wisdom. [ps 51:6]. Truthfully, our entire life should reflect the testimony of Christ, since God lives in us.

Can you imagine the transparency required of Christ as he was ridiculed, beaten, paraded through town, stripped naked, and hung on a cross. For many Christians operating in the flesh, a wrong word or even a right word of correction might cause a haughty reaction fused with pride and embarrassment...and that's just a word. Words did not bother Christ, nor did so-called humiliation. In fact, his arrest, trial, crucifixion and resurrection is commonly referred to as "the passion". Jesus was not thinking of himself when these atrocities were being perpetuated against him. Instead, his "passion" for fulfilling his purpose kept Him going. He picked up His cross and kept his mind focused on his purpose. Even as he was dying on the cross, he asked God to forgive those who persecuted him [Lk 23:34], as we have been instructed to do [Mat 5:44]. There was no pride in him....only purpose - to do the will of His Father. He was willing to be transparent for our sake. Are we willing to be transparent for the sake of His people? Will you lay down your life for God's people? Read the poem, I lay down my life

Sadly, many of us care more about what man thinks of us than what God thinks. We compromise to the point of disobedience to God in order to be acceptable in man's eyes. We are afraid to look foolish, or to offend anyone with the message of the truth, or even to pray in public [Rom 1:16]. So, we hide the testimony of Christ.

The first commandment is that we love God with all our heart, our mind, our soul and our strength [Mk 12:30]. Jesus said, if we love him, we will feed his sheep [Jn 21:16-17]. How can we accomplish this unless we reveal ourselves. True worshippers, must worship the Father in spirit and truth [Jn 4:23].

The testimony of Christ is a truthful account of the life of our savior who is the Word that became flesh in order to dwell among us [john 1:14] so that we may have eternal life in him [1 Jn 5:11]. From the beginning to the end of the Bible, God has provided evidence/proof of his covenant with his people [from the physical Ark of the Testimony [Exodus], to the new temple of the Holy Spirit that is US], The evidence/proof/witness of the Testimony of Christ is the spirit of God that continues to testify through the lives of obedient believers. Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and does not belong to you? [1 Cor 6:19].

Can you be transparent enough for God to be seen through you?

New Wine

I am repositioning my people, says the Lord.

Many of you have new wine , but the place where you worship is not ready to receive it. You don't fit their standard. You don't compromise the word of God. You are too outspoken. They call you self-righteous and holier than thou because you seek after ME with all your heart, mind and soul. You are full of creativity and you express my personality through non-traditional ways. When you prophesy, the people are filled with fear and intimidation because they don't want to hear a word that convicts them to turn from their wicked ways. They want to hear lies and sweet words that affirm that they are fine just the way they are. [Isaiah 30:10]

They don't have a "ministry" to describe what I have put inside you.
It is the testimony of Jesus that is the spirit of prophesy [Revelation 19:10]. If they would eliminate their religious categories, they would have a place for MY ministry. Fear not, For MY gifts and the call on your life cannot be reversed. [Romans 11:29]

I promised you that your gift will make room for you, and bring you before great men. [Proverbs 18:16]. Therefore, I am repositioning my people.

Old foundations founded on old traditions are not effective in teaching MY gospel to ALL nations. [Matthew 28:19]. YOUR church is a dead. I will tear it down and rebuild it. Unless the church is built on the testimony [evidence, proof, witness] of Jesus Christ, it is not MY church. [1 Corinthians 3:10]. YOUR religion keeps the people on milk. [Hebrews 5:12]. They don't want new wine because they think the old wine is better [Luke 5:39].

My leaders have become babysitters, afraid to speak the truth for fear of offending "members". I have given you authority to judge. [1 King 8:32]. Do you not understand that the righteous shall judge the world.? [1 Corinthians 6:2]. Then, why don't you take the responsibility to judge simple matters? [Luke 12:48]. You are the leader, so LEAD!!

I am repositioning my people. I am moving them to fertile ground. I will provide new wine skins for their wine. Not a drop of this precious wine will be wasted. They will not be allowed to cast their pearls to the swine [Mathew 7:6].

This is God's word concerning the churches of the world. 9/1/08

GOD SAID, PRAISE ME!!!!!!!

A TESTIMONY OF THE PROPHETIC SCRIBE

When I got saved, the Lord told me that I could not "perform" my Christian poetry. He was referring to the entertainment aspect of spoken word that I had perfected when I was doing "erotic poetry" in the world.

So, for a year after I recommitted myself to the Lord and church, I just got up when called, and read the Christian poems from my first book, For the Love of God, a collection of praise and worship poems (boring). My Pastor asked me to spice it up, but I told him that the Lord told me not to perform, so I didn't. Another person told me that I was just intimidated to compete with other Christian poets. I was insulted, but I still didn't give in.

Finally, I was invited to "perform" poetry for a Christmas program. I asked God, "Surely, you don't want me to just read". He said nothing until the day of the event. On that morning, I awoke to the sound of the Lord's voice. "Praise me", he said. "Okay", I said in my mind. "Praise Me", he said again. "Okay", I said again. "PRAISE ME!!!!!!!" he screamed. "OKAY!!!" I leaped out of bed, grabbed my Bible and began to read a Psalm of David. As I read, the Holy Ghost came upon me and I began to cry and worship God. Finally, the Lord said, "Now go and rehearse". I was so excited. The new way that God wanted me to share spoken word was through praise. Now, I pray before every appearance. My purpose is to invite the Holy Spirit to the event. That's how God uses my gift.

How to Deliver an Effective Testimony

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.” [Revelation 12:10]

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” [Revelation 12:11]

My dear brethren, let us not give the accuser power over our lives. God has given us power through His son to overcome the accuser with our testimonies. Our adversary is crafty. He has been at his work a lot longer than we have been saved. He uses our own insecurities, our negative confessions about ourselves, and our pride (that prevents us from sharing our painful or embarrassing experiences with one another) against us. We love ourselves to the death by not sharing the testimonies of God’s goodness with others.

Our enemy would like us to believe that we are condemned, unworthy, unchanged, and unrighteous; so he keeps bringing up our past to accuse us. He uses the negative words that come out of our mouth and the negative opinions of others to keep us in bondage. He doesn’t want us to believe that God’s word is true. Therefore, in order to defeat him, we must stand on the promises of God. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” [1 John 1:9]

Truly, I tell you that our testimonies have the spirit of prophesy in them. When we share what God has done in our lives, we are prophesying. We are living proof (evidence) of God’s power and the assurance of His promises. “….the Testimony of Jesus (Christ) is the spirit of prophecy!” [Revelation 19:10]

As Christians, we do not believe in luck, fortune, coincidence and wishes. Our hope is in Christ [Hebrews 3:6], our blessings come from God [Genesis 49:25], our steps are ordered by the Lord [Psalm 37:23], and we know our prayers are effective [James 5:16]. “Therefore, this is the testimony: that God has given us; eternal life and this life is in His son.” [1 John 5:11].

So, how do we make sure that our testimony is the testimony of Christ? We give God ALL the glory. Remembering that It’s not what we’ve been through. It’s how God brought us through.

What is an effective testimony?
The nature of a testimony is personal, but the power of the testimony is not in the details of the sin. The power is in the testimony of Jesus. When the Apostle Paul gave his testimony, he testified to the glory of Jesus Christ, and people received salvation. His testimonies were effective because he had a goal – to bring people to Christ. Likewise, our testimony should have the same goal. The purpose for our goal is found in Matthew 28:18-20 [The Great Commission]. This is the mission of every believer and disciple of Christ.

The Deliverance Testimony:
The “Deliverance Testimony” is a weapon of spiritual warfare that should evoke a response that brings about confession, repentance, deliverance, healing, conviction and draws men and women into a closer relationship with Christ. This kind of testimony has the power to overcome the tactics of the adversary.

The focus of “The Deliverance Testimony” should always be on God. Focus on all the things God did for you when you were going through challenging times, not the things you did to yourself. Don’t revel in how bad you were. Tell the people about how God spared your life and protected you even when you were going through whatever you were going through. Praise God for his faithfulness, His mercy and His unfailing love. “Remember the things I have done in the past. For I alone am God! I am God, and there is none like me.” [Isaiah 46:9]

Encourage your listener(s) by reminding them that once God forgives, it is finished. “None of their past sins will be brought up again, for they have done what is just and right, and they will surely live.” [Ezekiel 33:16] “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” [John 8:36]

Talk about how God finally brought you to repentance. This is usually the most dramatic part of your testimony. Use examples from the Bible like David when he had to confess being an adulterer. [2 Samuel 12:1-24]. Emphasize how important it is to confess your sin to God or surrender your problems to Him, so that he can purify your heart, and heal you. Assure your listener(s) that God wants to help them “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14].

Connect your personal testimony of deliverance with the Testimony of Jesus Christ:
Use this opportunity to lead people to Christ or to recommit their lives by repenting and turning back to God. Talk about how stubborn you were, how you resisted God or refused to admit that you were living in sin. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” [1 John 1:8]

Assure your listener(s) that God is forgiving. Talk about how he forgave you, and you were delivered (set free from sin). “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” [1 John 1:8-9]. Tell them about how you repented (turned away) from your sin, and how your life has changed since the Holy Spirit resides in you. Declare that He will do the same for them if they invite Jesus into their heart. “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” [Acts 1:8]”

The Good News Testimony:
The “Good News Testimony” encourages, gives hope, and stands on the promises of God. This testimony proclaims the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ by sharing how God has blessed you or someone you know with supernatural intervention like healing, bailing you out of financial difficulties, answering your prayers, or handling a difficult person or situation. These testimonies give hope, encouragement, and prophesy about change that will take place in a believers life when they have faith in Jesus. These are the testimonies of praise, worship and thanksgiving.

Find scriptures that testify to God’s faithfulness and fill your testimony with these scriptures to remind the listeners about God’s promises to them as believers. There are many such scriptures throughout the Bible, but the book of Psalms is widely credited with having the most encouraging scriptures. Search your Bible for encouraging scriptures and commit them to memory. The Word of God is the Bread of Life. If we love Jesus, we will feed His sheep.
Make your testimony a testament to Christ!

What does the Bible say about Astrology?

There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, an observer of clouds, or a fortune-teller, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or one who calls to the dead. For all that do these things are an abomination to Jehovah. And because of these abominations Jehovah your God drives them out from before you. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12)

And he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom. He also practiced secret arts, and used fortune-telling, and used witchcraft, and dealt with mediums, and with soothsayers. He did much evil in the sight of Jehovah in order to provoke Him to anger. (2 Chronicles 33:6)

And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of it, and I will destroy its wisdom. And they shall seek to idols, and to the enchanters, and to the mediums, and to the future-tellers. And I will shut up Egypt into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, says the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts. (Isaiah 19:3-4)

As for you, do not listen to your prophets, nor to your fortune tellers, nor to your dreamers, nor to your conjurers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon. (Jeremiah 27:9)

For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your fortune-tellers in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you dream. (Jeremiah 29:8)And I will cut off sorceries out of your hand, and there shall not be fortune-tellers among you. (Micah 5:12)

My people seek advice from their wooden idols, and their rod declares to them. For the spirit of harlotry has caused them to go astray, and they have gone lusting away from under their God. (Hosea 4:12)

The astrologers answered the king, "There is not a man on earth who can do what the king asks! No king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer. (Daniel 2:10)

The king called out for the enchanters, astrologers and diviners to be brought and said to these wise men of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing and tells me what it means will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around his neck, and he will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom." Then all the king's wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or tell the king what it meant. (Daniel 5:7-8)

They [the bones of the people of Jerusalem] will be exposed to the sun and the moon and all the stars of the heavens, which they have loved and served and which they have followed and consulted and worshiped. They will not be gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground. (Jeremiah 8:2)

A Good Student (inspired by Ashanti McCray)

Once upon a time there was a girl named Ashanti. Ashanti was not like the other girls her age. She always felt a little different. She didn't share many of her thoughts because she didn't think people would understand, so she kept them in a journal. She knew that she could share anything with God, and his love would not change no matter what.

School was a challenge for Ashanti. It was just so boring. The teachers reminded her of the teachers in the Charlie Brown cartoons. All she heard was blah, blah, blah. So, Ashanti daydreamed about places she would visit, and all the things she would do when she grew up. Her dream world was fine until report card time.

When Ashanti's parents saw her grades, they were very concerned. They knew that Ashanti was smart, so they didn't understand how she could be doing so badly in school. So, Ashanti's parents took away all of her favorite things so that she could focus on her studies. Ashanti felt that this was very unfair. Her parents just did not understand. They had no idea how hard it was for her to focus on something that she had absolutely no interest in.

However, after rebelling, complaining and crying, Ashanti decided to take her studies seriously. After all, she had no choice. Her parents were still in charge. So, Ashanti decided to do the best she could do. She made the decision to change her attitude about her studies. "Maybe if I tell myself that it's not so bad, it won't be", she thought." So, Ashanti took control of her thoughts....and it worked. It didn't take long before she discovered that she liked learning new things.

The next time report card time rolled around, Ashanti's grades were much better. Her parents were very proud of her, but more importantly, Ashanti was proud of herself. She was going to graduate. Ashanti decided that making good grades was definitely better than making bad grades. Everyone around her celebrated her success when she did well, and it felt good to be successful. She allowed herself to daydream about being a successful businesswoman with a nice car, a cool apartment and a fabulous career.

As Ashanti did better and better in school, a few of her friends asked her, "How did you do it?" Ashanti responded confidently, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." The kids looked at her like she was strange, but it didn't matter. Ashanti knew that she was different, and that what most kids call weird is actually "unique" and "special". She knew that was the way God created her....to be special and unique, and she was cool with that.

At night, Ashanti pulled out her journal and wrote about how exciting her experience had been. She promised God that she would not let difficult things discourage her. She would remember Philippians 4:13. She would tackle hard things with all her might, and with God's help, she would be victorious no matter how hard it looked in the beginning. "I am more than a conqueror in Him who loves me", she said out loud. It was amazing how God's word made her feel stronger. She thanked God once again before going to sleep.

My Name is Jesus

My Name is Jesus

I’m not your genie in a bottle or the god you call by name
to grant your every wish.
You quote your famous preachers on earth,
but the revelation of my Word is what you miss.

When you are blessed in your sin,
don’t give me the credit.
It’s the prince of your world
who keeps encouraging you to “go and get it”.

I’m speaking of those things that are desired
by your heart and your flesh; not desiring my will.
If you really want to know my will,
be quiet, and be still.

When is the last time you repented
by really turning away?
Or laid yourself prostrate?
Or got on your knees to pray?

You fornicate with my sons and daughters
And have the nerve to say, “God has blessed me.”
You are the branch that bears rotten fruit.
I will prune and cut thee.

I am Jesus. Do you know me?
Because if you did, others would see.
For all your words, creativity and knowledge
you fail to truly know me.

Stop playing church and spoiling my sheep!
Stop claiming your junk in my name.
When is the last time you asked, “Lord what do you want?”
You should be ashamed.

You hypocrites. I spit you out.
If you think you can continue to ask me to bless your mess,
You have no idea what I’m all about.

Ask and you shall have it,
IF you obey my commandments is what I said.
You have taken my promise and perverted it for your selfish cause.
Then you boast and sin all the more while you break my statutes and laws.

Your time is short.
Your pride is tall,
and by my Word
You shall surely fall.

I give according to my will, and your man-made blessings
come from Satan.
You can call my name all you want,
but the fruit you bear is forsaken.

Repent, and turn away from your sin
or I will soon turn my back.
You will see the wealth you think you have,
will quickly turn to lack.

My name is Jesus.
I am the way, the truth and the life.
My sheep hear my voice,
and they follow my light.

Keep following your selfish ambitions,
and mocking my Father’s Word,
and my angels will sound a trumpet
like you have never heard.

Words that Hurt

The Bible says, in Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

And, the Apostle Paul said in Galatians 5:13. For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. He instructed, 2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

We must be very careful how we speak to people that we are ministering to. Even if we believe that we are speaking truth, we must be especially concerned about how it is received by the listener. If in our self-rightousness we believe that telling the truth is all that matters, we risk hurting God's people. If we walk in false humility believing that we are doing good no matter what effect it has on people, we are not doing the will of the father and we will be held accountable. God's lambs are precious to him. He says, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” [Psalm 105:15; 1 Chronicle 16:22].

Every word we speak plants a seed. Our words create and shape the world around us. The Bible says, Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. So those who love to talk must remember that they are accountable for EVERY word and its effect on those who hear it.

In Ephesians 4:2, we are instructed to minister with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love... This means that we must put ourselves aside, and have patience for one another.

The word of God will convict people who have a desire to be changed by the Holy Spirit. The desire for a person to want a more intimate relationship with God is brought on by a number of different variables. It could be longsuffering that brings them to Christ (broken, defeated with nowhere else to go). It could be the result of sickness or disease that makes one cry out to God for a miracle, and it could be the Jesus in us that makes them desire the love and joy that we have within us, or they just have questions about the meaning of life and what God expects from them. We, as disciples of Christ, win them with our love, not condemnation. We must examine our motives, and ask God to purify our hearts so that we can allow the Holy Spirit to minister through us, as opposed to judging, and giving our personal opinions.

TELL ME A BEDTIME STORY

You are my bedtime story.
The voice of assurance that lulls me to sleep,
and nullifies my fears.

With the confidence in the testimony of Jesus Christ,
My soul responds to the Holy Spirit
of the voice that speaks to my inner ear.

I am at the Master’s feet.
Crying tears of repentance, and wiping His feet with my hair.
Speaking in unknown tongues to express what is unknown to me
In the natural,
But in the Spirit all things are made known to me.

The Apostolic and the Prophetic work together
And the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the midst
Revealing the mysteries of the gospel.
Speaking wisdom into the soul of this woman.

The bedtime story continues
Night after night
Until the nightmares of the past
Become dreams and visions of the future.

How amazing God is.
How great is His majesty.
His mercy and grace endure forever.
My testimony is of His goodness and faithfulness.

So, tell me another bedtime story.
My heart has been tuned to your voice.
I am receptive, and attentive.
Knowing the voice of my Master,
and refusing to follow another.

Tell me a bedtime story of God’s promises
Of pleasures to come,
According to our Father’s Word.

Tell me a bedtime story of Deliverance
According to His truth.

Tell me a bedtime story of Faith
In the things hoped for,
And the evidence of things unseen.

Tell me a bedtime story of the Peace
That surpasses all understanding.

of Christ.

The True Vine

The Lord is taking me to a higher level of purity and holiness in Him. He has been excavating roots and generational issues. He is the true vine, and I am a branch

For anyone who has ever wanted to quit:
As God began to pull and tug at these roots, it hurt so bad that I made a decision to resign from ministry. I told the Lord that I did not want to be His prophet, and put my resignations in writing so that I could seal the deal. I didn't lie, and claim that God led me to quit ministry, and I wasn't bluffing. I knew that I was making an important decision based on my emotions. I was honest in my rebellion. I was tired and I just wanted to give up. What was the point, anyway? I would never be worthy. I would never be good enough to represent the holiness of God to the fullest. I just wanted to run and hide.

That lasted about 24 hours. That's when the Lord said to me, "Are you through?" My resignations were promptly rejected by the leaders that God has appointed to shepherd me. They reminded me that I did not choose God or ministry. He chose me. You see, I was feeling weak, insecure and unqualified to go where God is taking me. Sound like anyone you know??? The Apostle Paul said, "And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” [2 Corinthians 12:9] Hmmm. If the Apostle Paul felt weak due to the thorn in his side [that thing that he could not overcome on his own], and he was a strong man of God, then I might not be a lost cause after all. In fact, Paul continued by saying, ..."Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.." Of course, I had to be reminded of this because when you're in rebellion, it makes you kind of blind and stupid. My leaders reminded me that the only perfect man is Jesus and God uses who he chooses. They encouraged me through scripture that I was exactly where God wanted me to be, [Jeremiah 1:6; Nehemiah 1:6; Exodus 3:11; Exodus 4:1; etc.] . They covered me in prayer, love and understanding. I repented for my disobedience, and cried out to God through Psalm 139.

"...thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.." [Mathew25:21] Of course, God used me even more to tend to the needy, minister to the sick, and even called me to teach outside of the church. Then, (within 2 weeks time) through submission and obedience, I was elevated in ministry (appointed a leadership/teaching position in the church). This was definitely not something that I was seeking. Typically, I do not volunteer to take responsibility, but it was inevitable. I never chose leadership; it always chose me.

The Importance of our Testimony
Suddenly, it became very clear to me why this attack had been so intense. The Lord had ministered to me through my own hand only days before, knowing that I would experience what He was teaching me. Thank God for the Scribal AnointingTM.

The outward response of my disobedience.Recently, I have been experiencing heart palpitations, and leg pain to the point of having to lean on a cane. Yes, I know that this is an attack of the enemy, but I refuse to give him too much credit or control over my body or my mind. The Lord told me that the pain I am experiencing in my body is a result of the roots that are being pulled up. Yes, that's right. Roots of unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, and anger. Issues that have been "pruned", but not "uprooted". If you do any gardening, yard work or landscaping, then you know that pruning is maintenance and beautifying. That's what is seen from the outside. Now, the roots are a different story. They go deep underground, and some are almost impossible to pull out completely. I have two tree roots in my backyard right now that I've been working on for over a year. I have successfully killed them, but they are still sticking up out of the ground making it impossible for me to plant something else in their place. Some of us have been pruned and cut down trees and killed weeds in our life, but the root is still sticking up out of the ground and we continue to stumble over it from time to time or we have to walk around it, but it is still taking up space in our garden. Space that we could use to plant something new. Truth be told, I'm having heart palpitations because there is sin there that hasn't been uprooted, and my leg is hurting because I was trying to run away from God. Hah! The truth hurts, but the truth will set you free. The good news is that whoever the Son sets free is free indeed. Thank you, Jesus.

Be Encouraged: When we accept Christ, he prunes us and helps us to change our ways, our habits, and the way we see the world as a result of our new relationship with Him. However, as we grow in Christ, and He chooses us for specific assignments, He digs deep into our soul to excavate and exterminate roots, weeds, and other debris in order to fill us with His Holy Spririt that will lead and guide us into all understanding. It can be a very uncomfortable process, but the result is complete deliverance and healing. When we allow God to have His perfect work in us, we are "made whole." [Luke 17:12-19].

I sent this testimony to encourage you to allow God to make you whole today. God bless you.

THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR TESTIMONY [based on Revelations Chapter 12]

God has a divine purpose for each and every one of us. Some of us are being called by God to walk in our purpose, and we cannot hear God's voice because we are distracted by worldly things or wrapped up in our emotions or fulfilling the desires of our flesh, or plagued by sin and guilt or any number of distractions. Some of us have heard the call, but don't want the responsibility that comes with making a commitment to God. And, some of us have answered the call by saying "yes" to God, and we are pregnant with purpose. Those of us who have answered the call have gone through some things. We have experienced morning sickness, sleepless nights, changes in our body, and changes in our mind. Answering the call was not without it's sacrifices. People we thought we could depend on left us. We didn't anticipate the expenses. Some friends left because we couldn't hang out with them anymore doing the things that we used to do with them. Our purpose consumed us. God's will became paramount in our lives. We were changed. We discovered passion for what was important to God.

Now, we are ready to give birth, and the devil has come to kill, steal and destroy our purpose. He doesn't want us to give birth to our purpose. He will do anything to kill your purpose. We need to be aware that there are always opposing forces waiting to devour our purpose. They may come in the form of obstacles, distractions, negativity, discouragement and even opportunities. These forces work even harder when God is about to do a mighty thing through us or when we are about to receive a tremendous blessing from God that will give Him glory. The good news is that God will not allow His purpose to be aborted. If we carry our purpose to full term, God will deliver it, and protect us from the enemy that walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour [1 Peter 5:8] Our testimony will bring even more to Christ. God will use it to save the souls that the devil is determined to destroy.

Satan is constantly accusing the bretheren, but we expose him with our testimonies. When we get delivered from addictions and affliction, and expose him by telling others about his tricks, schemes, and temptations, our testimonies break the strongholds and generational curses that set people free. Many of us struggle with guilt and even after accepting Christ and His forgiveness, we struggle with forgiving ourselves. If we are bold and transparent enough to show our battle scars by telling our stories, we set ourselves free in the process. We release pride, shame, guilt and we declare victory over the enemy. The devil does not want you to know that by confessing your sin, God is faithful to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness [1 John 1:9]. One of his favorite tactics is to keep reminding us of our past. If we stay focused on issues that have passed, situations that are finished, tasks that are completed and sin that has been forgiven, we continue to make it easy for the enemy to keep us distracted. In addition, he uses pride, shame, and guilt and unresolved feelings from our past to keep us bound. As long as we are bound and distracted, we cannot hear what God is saying, or move in the direction that the Holy Spirit is directing. This is how the devil gets us to abort our purpose.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

There is a war in heaven going on right now for the souls of God's people. The devil and his angels have fallen to earth to wage war on the children of God [Revelations 12:17]. When he was kicked out of heaven, he brought angels with him to earth and their mission is to send as many of us to hell as they can, and he does this by distracting us, and tempting us with sin. His distractions are specifically designed to keep us separated from God. One of his most deceptive strategies is convincing people that he doesn't exist at all. No devil, no hell, no consequences. For Christians who have confessed Christ, but have not submitted to God's will, he tempts and manipulates, and accuses them before God day and night [Revelations 12:10] but thank God that Jesus intercedes on our behalf to the Father. For the sinner, the devil uses his most basic instincts to please the flesh to the point of addiction and self-destruction. And, for God's elect, he appears as an angel of light. In other words, he comes in an attractive form and twisting and manipulating the word of God to deceive those who are working to fulfill the purpose of God. What he doesn't want us to know is that if we confess our sins and turn away from it, God forgives us. We can get up and keep moving. We do not have to wallow in guilt, which is just one of the things satan uses to imprison us.

Revelation 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

Our testimony of Jesus Christ protects us, and sets us free. Our testimonies are powerful, effective and healing. Our testimonies are used by God to birth restoration, reconciliation, healing, and deliverance. God gives the increase when you share your testimony. Do not be afraid of the faces of men or the accusers. God will protect you. He has prepared a place in the wilderness for you. He will hide you under the shadow of His wing. The testimony of Jesus Christ is our salvation. Therefore, put on the full armor of God [Ephesians 6:10-18]. Stand firm, and witness the salvation of the Lord. Tell your testimony until you are free from satan's stronghold, then go free others. Publish the good news. Write the story. Speak the truth of salvation in Jesus Christ. Spread the good news. His mercy endures forever.

2008 Declarations and Decrees

Today, the Lord put it on my heart to write down prayers concerning my desires for this year. These are decrees and declarations that I believe (fully expect) God to fulfill according to His will for my life. Although I have personalized this [for the sake of the testimony to God's glory], if any of these prayers touch your heart, feel free to pray in agreement with me that we may be on one accord as we pray, activating the promises of God into our lives. [James 5:16].

REPENTANCE
Lord, I come humbly to your throne [prostrate] in the name of Jesus repenting of all sins and offenses that I have committed against you and any person. I ask forgiveness for every wrong thought, action and word spoken that was not like you. Thank you for your forgiveness according to [1 John 1:9] and your mercy and compassion that is new every morning. [Lamentations 3:22-23]. Great is thy faithfulness! Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. [Isaiah 1:18]. Thanks to your grace [by the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus - the Holy lamb] I can come boldly to the throne of grace. Hebrews4:16. Thank you, Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, I cast down any desire of my heart that seeks to exalt itself above God, and I bring into captivity every thought [in my mind or presented to me from elsewhere] to the obedience of Christ; [2 Corinthians 10:5] knowing that this attitude leads down the path to idolatry. [Romans 1:21-22]. I am submitted to you, Oh God! And I thank you for loving me so much that you gave your only begotten son that I might believe in him and not perish, but have everlasting life [John 3:16].

JEHOVAH-JIREH ( My Provider)
Lord, I submit my desires to you. You [alone] are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created. [Revelation 4:11] I will delight myself in you, LORD and believe that you will give me the desires of my heart according to [Psalm 37:4]. I know that the Father knows what things I have need of, before I ask him. [Mathew 6:8] Lord, I believe your Holy scriptures that promise, if I ask anything in Jesus' name that God will do it according to His word and His will for my life. [John 16:23, Mathew 20:21:22, John 15:7, John 14:13]. However, I know that you are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the [Holy Ghost] power that works in me. [Ephesians 3:20]. Therefore, Lord, do not limit your blessings to my requests because you, alone, know the plans that you have for my life, and they are Good. Increase each area of my life according to the Word of God that says, YOU, God, will supply all my needs according to YOUR riches and glory. [Philippians 4:19 ] that is not predicated on my abilities or resources. Therefore, I lay the desires of my heart on the alter, in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting you completely and fully expecting my requests to be granted because of the faith that I have in your Word.

A CLOSER RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU
Lord, I desire a closer relationship with you. Fresh revelations, fresh anointing (power of God), fresh visions, and fresh wisdom and understanding. Show me new things about yourself and your kingdom. [Mathew 6:33]. Lord, speak to me in dreams and visions, and through your Word [Joel 2:28 , ACTS 2:17]. Use me Lord, as your mouthpiece and give me fresh, new, creative ways to record and share your love through your Word with your people.

PROTECTION AGAINST THE FORCES OF EVIL
Lord, I thank you for the protection that you have promised, as you take me into the land that I will possess [Deuteronomy 1:21]. Build a hedge of protection around me as I enter into this battle that is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. [Ephesians 6:12] and whenI feel weak, Lord, remind me that God has not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. [2 Timothy 1:7]. Lord, prevent evil doers from infliciting damage, harm, insult or injury to my mind, character, body or spirit. Lord send your angels to supernaturally protect me from dangers seen and unseen. I live under the protection of your Word that says, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. [1 Chronicles 16:22, Psalm 105:15, Romans 12:19]. And, wearing the full armor of God, [Ephesians 6:13-17]. I will walk and speak boldly the things of God according to [Titus 2, Ephesians 6:19].

FORGIVE MY DEBTS....AS I FORGIVE MY DEBTORS
In the name of Jesus, I declare and decree that all of my debts are forgiven (financial and personal). I know that in asking this, that I must forgive all debts against me according to [Mathew 6:12, Mathew 6:14, Mark 11:25-26, Luke 11:4, Luke 17:4]. Therefore, I release every debt that I have been holding in my heart, including resentment, blame and unforgiveness right now in the name of Jesus, and I accept my forgiveness and realease of all debts being held against me financially, personally and in the spirit realm.

INCREASE
I declare and decree increase in my finances, increase in the scribal ministry, increase in blessings, increased favor with men, increased wisdom, and increased territory (spiritually and materially) in Jesus' name according to [1 Chronicles 4:10]. I accept all of the abundant blessings of God in the name of Jesus, and claim my inheritance as a joint heir with Christ according to [Romans 9:8, Galatians 4:7]. I accept God's great and precious promises according to [2 Peter 1:4]. Lord, I also pray for wisdom in my decisions concerning my finances, career and ministry according to your will. Lead, guide and direct me to make the correct decisions, and create havoc when it is not your will so that I may know that I am not in the will of God.

JEHOVAH - ROPHE (My healer)
In the name of Jesus, I declare miraculous and supernatural, healing in my body, my mind and my spirit in the name of Jesus. I am made WHOLE according to [Mathew 9:22, Mathew 14:36, Mathew 15:28, Mark 10:52, Luke 8:48, Luke 17:19, John 5:4, John 5:9, John 5:14] And, receive the gift of healing others in Jesus' precious name according to [1 Corinthians 12:9, 1 Corinthians 12:28, Mark 17-18].

SINGLE WOMAN'S PRAYER OF FAITH
Lord, I submit myself to you as an unmarried woman holy and wholly dedicated to you for the ministry that you have assigned me as a laborer for the gospel of Jesus Christ, for your word says, ...the unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit, so that she may attend upon the Lord without distraction. [1 Corinthians 7:34-35]. Also, I submit myself to the word of God that says, Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour of the LORD. [Proverbs 18:22]. Lord, I have faith that you are sending the husband that you have prepared for me and I do not have to seek him [because the treasure does not hunt]. Therefore, I refrain from looking for a man, dating as the world dates, or partaking in any level of intimacy [except true Christian fellowship as fellow laborers in the faith] that the fruit can be seen and the spirit can be tested according to [Mathew 7:20, 1 John 4]. I will know my husband as a son of God by the Holy Spirit, which reveals all things.

I rebuke, cast down and cancel any appointments with false prophets, wolves in sheep's clothing, and demonic spirits that would seek to deceive me or cause me harm in any way. Anyone with sinister or alterior motives contrary to God's purpose, plan and will for my life will be immediately revealed and exposed, and must flee in the name of Jesus. [James 4:7]

MANDATE OF DISCIPLESHIP
I declare and decree that men, women and children that come into my presence, are attracted to the attributes of Jesus Christ who lives in me, and will be drawn to Christ for salvation, deliverance, reconciliation, and purification that they may become disciples that lead more to Christ according to the Great Commission [Mathew 28:18-20]. I also pray a special blessing over my family and friends who have not come to Christ that they will be convicted to seek God by asking, "What can I do to be saved." I pray that they will be divinely directed to the living water that is only available through Christ Jesus [John 4:10]. that they may thirst no more, and find salvation, deliverance and eternal life in Him.

WILL GOD HEAR YOUR PRAYERS?
God hears and acknowledges the prayer of Salvation: 1 Timothy 2:3-4 , John 1:12-13
To pray a prayer that gets results, you must be a worshiper of the One to whom you are praying: John 9:31, John 3:5
God answers prayers that are according to His will 1 John 5:14-16
Intercessory prayer is done on behalf of an unbeliever by a believer Genesis 20:7
Intercessory prayer is done on behalf of carnal believers by a believer 1 Samuel 12:19-24

There are scriptures that indicate that God does not hear a sinner's prayer.
1 Peter 3:12, especially when they call Him as a last resort as in Jeremiah 2:28 (more to come). However, in His grace and mercy, God may intervene in the life of a sinner by answering His prayer for His plans and His purpose for He is God, but better to have a personal relationship than a casual one with God since His promises are made for the benefit of the righteous.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION
If you are reading these prayers, and you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and you would like to, simply say this prayer with sincerity (or something similar from your heart):
"Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I believe that the Lord, Jesus Christ, died for my sins on the cross and was resurrected three days later for my justification. I, now, receive and confess Jesus Christ as my personal savior. I accept the gift of Grace, and thank God for washing away my sins. Lord, I invite your Holy Spirit to come and live inside of me forever."

The Real Reason for the Season

It's not about the lights, the presents, or the Christmas tree.
It's all about the man who gave His life for you and me.

It's not about the food, the drink, or the revelry.
It's about what He did for us on Calvary.

It's not about Santa Claus. It's not about elves. It's not about reindeer,
or how many gifts we receive for ourselves.

It's all about how God loved us so much that He gave His only begotten son,
so that we could all be saved by the sacrifice of one.

The real reason for the season is the birth of Christ Jesus,
and the comforter He left behind, that He promised would never leave us.

The joy I feel in my heart today is solely for Him
because of what He did for me, I am free from sin.

The light that I'm reminded of shined in the Eastern sky.
The star of Bethlehem that served as a guide

to welcome the savior to this world who was the Love of God in the flesh.
And, when the cup was given Him, thank God, He passed the test.

The red Santa suit and Christmas wrapping remind me of His blood...
that covers my sin like a protective blanket, demonstrating His Perfect Love.

So, while we celebrate, remember the real reason for the season.
It's the birthday of Jesus Christ, so don't forget to please Him.

How do I please God, you ask? Well, this is what Jesus said,
"If you love me, you will obey my commandments that's a quote from the book most read.

This Christmas, get to know the King of Kings. Let that be a good reason

to read your Bible, praise, and thank Him,

and reminded yourself that the birth of Jesus is the real reason for the season.

Equipping through Accountability

Cain, the first-born son of Adam and Eve, first spoke these words after he murdered his brother, Able. God held Cain accountable for his sin, and he was cursed. [Gen 4:9-11]. In one generation, sin took a mighty leap from disobedience to murder.

From the beginning, God created man and woman to be one flesh. They sinned together and they were punished together. Although Eve blamed the serpent, and Adam blamed Eve, they were held accountable for their actions. Not even the serpent escaped God’s punishment. [Gen 2-3]. Today, the New Testament church is one body, representing our unity with Christ, and we, too, are accountable to one another.

Webster’s definition of accountability is “subject to having to report, explain or justify; being answerable, responsible.”

God’s definition of accountability is “Submitting to one another in the fear of God’ [Ephesians 5:21]

So, yes, we are our brother’s/sister’s keeper. Does this mean that it is our responsibility to point out flaws, judge and criticize our brothers and sisters? God forbid. The bible says, “…As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” [Prov 27]. We are to support, encourage and uplift one another. We are to be honest, share our problems and struggles and confess our sins to on another, and pray for one another [James 5:16].

In addition, as we grow in Christ, we are to replace our old ways with new ways that reflect our new identity in Christ. [Colossians 3:8-10], and allow our brothers, sisters and church leaders to support us by listening and abiding by godly advise and even correction. We should receive correction as a growth opportunity, not criticism. Even rude correction can have a ring of truth for us. It would be wise to not get defensive, but to humble ourselves, examine ourselves, and apply the advice to our life in a positive way so that we don’t become obstacles to ourselves. [Heb 13:7; Heb. 13:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14; Prov 19:20]. This is all for the edifying of the body of Christ [Ephesians 4:11-16]. We are to show our concern about a brother or sister who strays from the truth out of love for them. [James 5:19,20]

During our spiritual walk with God, we grow closer to Him as we deny our flesh to become more like Him, and less like the world. [Roman 12:1-21]. As we grow in Christ, our gifts and responsibilities increase. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required:” [Luke 12:48]. Each one is to reach one, and teach one. This is discipleship. It is our ultimate goal [Mathew 28-18-20]. However, in order to be effective, we must lead by example. Therefore, let us live a lifestyle that reflects the gospel. We should spend most of our time seeking God through His Word and in prayer and supplication, and examining ourselves. Then, we can help someone else walk more upright. [Mathew 7:4]

Therefore, God assigns us according to our calling. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” [Ephesians 4:11-16].

Leaders that lead by example are respected. The best leaders are servants. Let us wait on our ministry by waiting on God’s people [Mathew 25:40]. This is how we serve our Lord. This is how we equip through accountability.

I Lay Down My Life For You

I lay it down willingly.
I give my life, so that you may live.
No, you don't deserve it,
but there is no greater demonstration of love
than to lay down my life for His people.

Though you despise me, I love you.
When you persecute me, I forgive you.
Though you tell lies about me,
I know it's not about me.
It's all about Him.

I lay down my life for your sake.
I offer my life as a living sacrifice
because His love for you is so great
that I willingly pick up my cross
to bear the burden of the gift of His love.

Although the gift of His unconditional love
is burdensome at times,
I am keenly aware that it is, nonetheless,
a gift.

I lay down my life to be closer to Him.
I am willing to endure the pain of your rejection,
to be favored by Him.

Because I am His friend, I gladly lay down my life
because in laying down my life....
I am buried with Him,
I am resurrected with Him,
I am victorious in Him.

In laying down my life,
all authority is given unto me
in His name...
to conquer,
to claim,
to declare,
and to cast out.

In laying down my life
I am reborn into eternal life.

Therefore, I gladly lay down my life
to have eternal life in Him
making this temporary discomfort worthwhile
because it isn't about me.
It's all bout Him.

In laying my life down,
putting myself aside,
making his love for you more important
than any inconvenience that you may pose for me
in this moment .....

I can love you without condition
no matter how you treat me,
no matter what you say about me,
no matter how you feel about me.

Because He loves. I love.
Jesus, I lay down my life for your people
because you love them.
and I love you.

Will the Real Prophets Please stand? Part II - Distinguishing the Genuine Article from the Counterfeit

PART II

DISTINGUISHING THE GENUINE ARTICLE FROM THE COUNTERFEIT

False prophets can be separated from true prophets by means of three tests:

1) Doctrinal (requires that the people of God have knowledge of the truth so they can recognize the false)

a. In Deuteronomy 13 the motive of the false prophet was to draw the people away from the God who had revealed himself in Exodus

1 “If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. 5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst. [Deut 13:1-5]

2) Practical (Requires patience)

a. The word of the Lord always comes to pass.

21 And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— 22 when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. [Deut 18:21,22]

This requires patience because as Deuteronomy 13:1 indicates a false word may be supported by an apparent spiritual proof. If there is doubt, the people must wait for the turn of events.

3) Moral (calls for watchful discernment)

a. Jeremiah was most distressed in his spirit by false prophets. He gave the longest and most sustained consideration to the problem [Jeremiah 23:9-40] b. False prophet will be found to be a man/woman of unholy life [Jer 23:11-14] c. Message has no note of moral rebuke, but encourages men in their sin [Jer 23:16-22]

CALL OF THE PROPHET

4 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying: 5 “ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” 6 Then said I: “ Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am young in the Lord.” 7 But the LORD said to me: “ Do not say, ‘I am young in the Lord,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, And whatever I command you, you shall speak. 8 Do not be afraid of their faces, or their education or their titles For I am with you to deliver you,” says the LORD. 9 Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “ Behold, I have put My words in your mouth. 10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.” 11 [Jer 1:4-11]

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, “Arletia, what do you see?”
And I said,
“There are many false prophets among us, Lord.
They assure the people of peace, when there is no peace. [Jer 6:4, 8:11]
The people don’t want the truth; they prefer lies that sound nice. [Isaiah 30:10]
They deceive even God’s elect with great signs and wonders [Mathew 24:24]
Some of these false prophets even perform miracles through fraudulent spirits and witchcraft like Pharaoh’s magicians and the beast in Revelations 13.
Lord, I see prophets who are caught up in their gift. They are motivated by self-interest and given to please the people.”

16 This is what the LORD Almighty says:
"Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD. 17 They keep saying to those who despise me, 'The LORD says: You will have peace.' And to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say, 'No harm will come to you. [Jeremiah 23:16,17]

…and I said,

Lord, the people consult mediums, psychics, astrologers, tarot card readers, and Spiritual Advisors operating with all manner of spirits, and then after they have built false idols in their hearts, they come running to the church for a word from God’s prophet. They are seeking validation for their “feelings” not confirmation about their “purpose” in you, Lord.

And, the Lord said to me, when they come to you for a word from the Lord,“

4 “… speak to them, and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols, 5 that I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols.”’ 6 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations. 7 For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the LORD will answer him by Myself. 8 I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of My people. Then you shall know that I am the LORD. [EZEKIEL 14;4-8]

The Lord, God said to me,

“Caution my prophets about prophesying to any and everyone. Some, I have cut off, like Saul [1 Samuel 28] and they have become my enemy. They run from medium to spiritist in search of a word, but they do not know me. They do not love me, and they do not obey me.

Therefore, says the Lord God,

… 9 “… if the prophet is induced to speak anything [to these whom I’ve rejected], I the LORD have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel. 10 And they shall bear their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be the same as the punishment of the one who inquired, ' " [EZEKIEL 14:9,10]

The Lord, God is holding His prophets accountable, lest we be deceived into allowing people like Simon the Sorcerer [ACTS 8:18,19] the wrong use of the gift of the Holy Spirit. We must test the spirits to know whether they are of God [1 John 4:1]. We must be like Paul in [ACTS 16:16-18] when the girl possessed with the spirit of divination followed Him and Silas around for days co-signing, saying “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.”. We must cast the spirit out from among us, not feed into it.

Do not be deceived, says the Lord thy God. Obey my commandment:

“10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you. [DEUTERONOMY 18:10-14]

It’s important to understand that the beginning of prophetic activity in early Christianity, according to Acts, coincided with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the earliest Christians on the Day of Pentecost [Acts 21:1-21]. Peter’s sermon on the Day of Pentecost confirms the fulfillment of Joel’s prophesy [Acts 2:14-21; Joel 2:28-32] indicating the outpouring of the Spirit on ALL flesh. Further, since the Spirit had been poured out upon all early Christians, all were potential prophets. *

However, Satan seeks to pervert the gifts of God, so not everyone with the prophetic gift is operating the way God intended. Therefore, it is our task to teach those who have a desire to serve God the true purpose of their gift, so that the unlearned can learn how to become prophets for Christ, and not perish.

6"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Remember, says the Lord,

21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! [Mathew 7:21-23]

I'm in love with Wisdom.
I'm pursuing her everyday.
She walks the road of righteousness.
Her actions lead the way.

I’m courting her earnestly.
Hanging on to her every word.
Her words of truth are captivating.
She gives the best advise I’ve ever heard.

She’s so beautiful to me;
much more than most men can handle,
but not for me; I'll wait up late.
For her, I’ll burn another candle.

She is regal and respected
Because of her ways and means.
She doesn’t indulge in pettiness.
Her thoughts are on heavenly things.

Lord, I’m in love with Wisdom.
And I plan to have her some day.
Because I’ll continue to pursue her
Until I have my way.

There she goes again.
I can’t take my eyes away.
I can hardly wait to find out
What she has for me today.

Lord, I’m in love with Wisdom
Will you allow me to see her face?

After a spirited discussion in the living room between my pastor, a freemason, and myself, I retired to bed.

A few hours later, the sound of footsteps leading to my bedroom door awakened me. I waited for the knock on the door. I figured my roomate had received a revelation from God, and couldn't wait to share it, but there was no knock. I heard the footsteps roaming around in the living room and could feel the vibration of the floor with each step. Here they came again toward my door. I waited again for the knock and again there was none. Then, I realized it was Satan. The Holy Spirit said, "....as a roaring lion, he [satan] walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" 1 PETER 5:8. I calmly got out of bed, anointed myself with blessed oil, began to pray, and put on the Bible on CD (1st Corinthians). Then, I opened the door, and looked around the living room - half expecting to see my roomate, but no one was there, so I went back to bed.

I didn't sleep through the CD like I usually do. Through His Word, God began to reveal the truth to me about this pseaudo-Christian organization called the Masons.

I know that the devil had no place to go after we challenged this false teaching with scripture after scripture from the Word of God. The Mason held his ground and defended his position. He resolved to die a Mason, but he left behind evidence of God's victory. The devil was so mad, all he could do was storm around my living room. He could not enter our bedrooms or our bodies because this is a Holy House and we are women that walk in the holiness of Jesus Christ, so it had to leave.

So, we continue to walk by faith and not by sight - confident that the man who calls himself a Mason will find the truth in God's word that has been planted in his spirit.

They Gave Up their Souls... a dream by The Prophetic Scribe

Between the high-rise condos and casinos in a non-descript storefront people came in to listen to a presentation that offered rest, peace and comfort. After the presentation, they were shown their personal obituary and send to another room to be euthenized. As an observer, I asked "Why don't they just leave". The Lord said, "They lay down their lives and lose their souls." The people were committing suicide like it was a decision as simple as choosing a restaurant.

The interpretation according to The Prophetic Scribe:
People will not care anymore. They will just give up when offered an easy out. Unaware that they are making an eternal decision.

"God said, 'PREPARE FOR SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION"
In a Vision I Saw a Man Walking Down a Street During a Violent Storm...
He had an iron wire protruding out of his heart that stretched up to the sky. Imprinted on the wire were two words: "Hungry and Frustrated." The tip of the wire in the sky probed the Heavens for a connection. Suddenly a powerful bolt of lightning shot out of a cloud and struck the wire. An ear piercing clap of thunder followed. It was so loud, people on the street were startled. The lightning bolt traveled down the wire and the man burst into flames. I thought he was dead but he quickly composed himself, and had a look on his face that expressed "great joy and relief." He calmly looked himself over as if he were just fitted for a new suit...made of fire. He looked at his burning right palm and saw written the words, "The God of Elijah."

God says, "Glory Storms Are on the Horizon""I see many of My children with their antennas up, as if they were probing My Heaven with a great hunger and frustration. They have prayed for agonizingly long seasons, yet have never given up" (Revelation 2:26).

"They are about to be hit with My bolt of Glory Lightning (Revelation 4:5). Strong prophetic utterances will be on their tongues, and none of their words will fall to the ground" (1 Samuel 3:19).

"No one will see the lightning except those who have been struck, although their faces will glow brightly. Glory storms are to hover over congregations small and large. Bolt after bolt will strike My servants."

"With every lightning strike, a portion of hell will tremble (James 2:19), and a piece of Heaven will descend (Matthew 6:10).

Put your antenna up..."God says, "Lightning Bolts of Glory Will Awaken Seemingly Dormant Ministries" "Some small ministries that seemed to lay dormant in the ground, will quickly take off like a sprinter in a race (Psalms 19:5). Discouraged leaders will be amazed at the quick fruit that is reaped, contacts made, and the influence they suddenly have. For the first time in many years they will feel electrified because they will get a glory shock from Me."

"For most, it will be so unexpected, that no anticipation will be felt before they are struck with My power. It will truly be a 'suddenly' (Acts 2:2). As quickly as I knocked Paul off his horse (Acts 9:3-4), this Heavenly lightning will knock others back on theirs, and they will gallop back into the battle (Jeremiah 46:3-4). This time they will run hard like mighty men and never get tired (Joel 2:7). Mount up...." God says, "Look for Many to Experience Spontaneous Combustion"

"Others will be walking down the street, bursting into a glory flame, and 'out of the blue' start testifying to the lost. My blaze of glory will erupt within many, and although it will not be seen completely by everyone, all will notice one thing--the brilliant flash of an angelic countenance (Acts 6:15). Some will even mistake them for angels (Hebrews 13:2); others will call it 'The Glow,' because a supernatural radiance will beam from the person's face."

Satan is the Father of Lies

Satan was the first to respond to my blog. I'm not kidding, ya'll. He identified himself by every name he is known by and tried to seduce my audience. I deleted the message because the Lord instructed me to. It included his web site link and chants that the Lord did not want you all to see. In his boldness, he entered a Holy place, but he has no power here. But, make no mistake about it, THIS IS WAR!!!!!!! Spiritual warfare.

It is important for you to know that you MUST approach cyberspace with the full armor. Cyberspace is the devil's playground, but we are not here to play. Please join me in rebuking this demon, and pray for me and all the saints as we battle the forces of evil.

We Rebuke the Devil:
Satan,
We rebuke you in the name of Jesus. You have no authority here. You are the father of lies, and we close our mind, body, spirit, and soul to your lies and temptations.You are not allowed on this site or in our holy realm. Jesus is Lord and we are covered by the blood of Jesus. With the authority given unto us by our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, we rebuke you and banish you to hell where you belong. As an army of the saints of Christ, we come against you and every demonic spirit, every spirit of witchcraft and anything that is not of our God, Jesus Christ. The battle is already won, and we are victorious in Jesus Christ. Your demise is inevitable, and we know the truth about you, so be gone. You and all your minions are damned to hell - RIGHT NOW! I claim in the mighty name of Jesus that you are a weak and defeated foe, and anything you say is a lie that we are protected from even entertaining. THIS IS NOT YOUR FORUM. I declare the authority and the victory in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Note:
I want to add that we will not give Satan a foothold or a forum here, so I will not encourage lingering on his antics. Prayers, however, are encouraged. His response actually worked for the good of the Saints because it reminded me to give you this revelation that God gave me earlier this year when he blessed me with an Internet radio show.

The Revelation:
When we enter cyberspace we lose access to our senses (sight, sound, taste, smell and feeling). The full armor of God is provided to us for a time such as this. Please put on the full armor of God before entering cyberspace. In other words, PRAY before you get online. This is the prayer, for those of you who may not be familiar with the word of God.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Hypocrites! Hypocrites!

A hypocrite is someone who points the finger at someone else while they are doing the same thing or someone who doesn't walk the talk that they are speaking. The Prophetic Scribe definition

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. " Matthew 23:27

"You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Matthew 7:5

"If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7

We are ALL guilty of being a hypocrite from time to time. We judge, speculate, gossip and condemn.

The Bible says, "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21

Christians are held to a higher moral standard by God and the people of the world. This doesn't mean that Christians are perfect or should self-righteously look down on others and judge them.
"...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.

The difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is that Christians are forgiven for their sins based on the grace given unto us when we accept Christ as our personal savior. This doesn't mean that our personality changes overnight, but the Bible does assure us that we are indeed changed "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

Being "born again" or "saved" doesn't mean that Christians are perfect nor does it give Christians a license to sin. There are consequences for every action. It just mean that as a result of accepting Christ as our savior, our ugly sin is covered [by the blood] that Jesus shed on the cross as a living sacrifice for our sins. . "...you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." 1 Corinthians 6:20

We are supposed to confess, repent and turn away from our sin when we receive the Holy Spirit and become new creatures in Christ. We must practice this on a daily basis.

So, the next time you feel like judging someone, ask God to forgive you, and ask Him to reveal what is really going on (in the spirit).

A Poem for Gregory John Cobb

I have spent the past few months helping my friend take care of her father who was also my friend. Gregory had 4th stage lung cancer. He passed away last week.

Below, is the poem that I read at the funeral. The prophetic blessing is that I wrote this poem about a fictitious character the prior year. Gregory put flesh on the words of this poem a year later, and God confirmed to me once again that I was indeed His Prophetic Scribe.

I had the opportunity to pray with Gregory and care for him. He thanked me daily. I watched his "spirit man" dance with the Holy Spirit. He was really a great guy, and loved by many. He had more childhood friends than most people at the age of 54. He was a child at heart and loved his family and friends, but most of all, he loved his 5 daughters and the two mothers who bore them.

In the end, the Holy Spirit comforted him. The night before he made his transition, I was in the room praying in the spirit for the angels to escort my brother through the gates of heaven. His daughter and I praised God as he took his son to his eternal bosom.

I will miss my friend, and I look forward to seeing him in heaven.

One Way or Another, It’s Life

The doctors tell him that there is no cure.
They give him timelines for survival.
They think they know how his body works,
but they do not know how the power
of God works within him.

His family is already
making preparations for his death,
when he is actually headed for life…
One way or another.

The pain is a reminder of his diagnosis.
but, the pain only serves
as an example of what God can do
when he takes it away…
One way or another.

Like Job, he will not forsake Him.
He knows that the devil just wants to test
his strength and faith
in the one who made him.

It hurts to get out of bed some days,
but he does
just to prove the devil is a liar.

He will not wait until this passes
to rejoice and praise God’s name.
He will praise him now and always
because his God is faithful.

He lives in a constant state of thanksgiving
because honestly,
we all have to go sometime,
and the best case scenario
is that he goes home to be with his Lord.

Then, it will be everyone else
who is dying
because he is assured
eternal life…
Through his belief
In Jesus Christ.

And his spirit lives on.
One way or another.

Where will you go when you die?

Born Again Poem

You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart ... JEREMIAH 29:13 NIV

This poem voices my commitment to being a new creation in Christ. It reminds me that I am not the person I used to be. It is Satan who keeps throwing my past up in my face. I have to stay in the word of God (that is the Holy Bible) to remind myself of who I really am (that is a child of God) on a daily basis. I thank God everyday for giving us the opportunity to have an intimate relationship with him if we really want to know Him.

BORN AGAIN

Yahweh (God),

You have blessed me in so many ways, and I am grateful.
I am grateful for my success, my trials, and my tribulations
For in all of these experiences you have revealed truth,
wisdom, and direction for my life.

I have gained a better understanding of myself, and you, my creator.

I thank you for the opportunity to have a closer relationship with you,
through your son, Yahshua (Jesus), the Messiah.

I have, through faith, come to acknowledge your son, Yahshua (Jesus) as the Messiah, the sacrificial lamb, the living sacrifice, and God in the flesh.

Thank you for loving us so much that you offered the innocent blood of your
one and only son to wash us of our sins if we just believe in His love.

Your love for us compelled him to be abused, ridiculed, tortured, mocked,
and ultimately killed, so that he could be resurrected in three days, thereby conquering death forever.

Through prayer and faith, I asked you to reveal the truth to me,
and you opened up my heart to receive your son as your Word,
which is your promise and the truth forever.

I believe in your Holy Word as translated in the Holy Bible.
I understand that the truth is revealed to my heart as I read the God
inspired words of your disciples and scribes, and I am awed by the mysteries
that you reveal through your Holy Spirit.

I know that I have much to learn as I turn away from the metaphysical way of life that you have revealed to me as witchcraft that had me bound for many years. I turn away from astrology, tarot cards, psychics, ritualistic prayer, manipulation, control, seduction, and addictions.

I know that you are always guiding me to truth
and it is my responsibility to accept and learn from it.

I accept that you love me and want only the best for me.

I accept your forgiveness, your mercy and you grace.

I forgive myself.

I accept love, success, happiness, health, wealth,
and fulfillment of your purpose for my life,
as a result of a closer walk with you.

Thank you Lord, for your mercy and grace.
